I don't even use Discord. But they are aware that they're not Youtube or Facebook? Their chat service is a dime a dozen, and if people find out they're leaking out chat logs, people will lose trust and leave to a replacement. Why would they purposely drive away users like this?

They can make you lazy neckbeards have to go through the trouble of signing up again. They can monitor and study with science and shit. Quietly alter comments months after you made them.Make it so others can't see your shit but it looks normal to you. They can alter the numbers of various videos and make certain subjects seem more popular than they are. Something which could be used for political and economic means.
