I collected tons of merchandise and set up diagramas to recreate scenes from the games. Halo 4 came out and my spirit just dissolved; from there I never looked back. I played halo 5 once at a friend's house; that's it.
I played the 343 game till the end and I still have no clue what the hell was going on with the plot. It's like I missed 2 previous games in the franchise or something

all memes aside Halo lore is fucking amazing. i nerded out a few years ago and read most of the books and got into it heavy. the precursor stuff is really interesting.
If you new the lore, you would know that the Covenant only existed because the forerunners left technology behind to be used and copied but never improved upon.
