They couldn't tell how bad she was bleeding and they aren't medical professionals. As long as they let the EMTs know when she got the tourniquet she'll be fine. However if they just put pressure on a femoral bleed she'd be dead. So put your hindsight away and go back to treating cuts and bruises.

Actually I don't think that women should be police officers. The police often has to work with agressive people and having and being more intimidating might potentially reduce the chance of getting attacked.

I agree for the most part. My town has a female cop and she's fucking legit. MMA fighter, her dad is a famous mma instructor. She's composed and is a great marksman. One of the best on the force. She watched her boyfriend die in the line of duty while they were on the same call. Of course she grieved and was devastated, but she came back stronger and more determined to keep the peace. She's probably the best officer they have. But back to the point, She's one in a million and nearly all women shouldn't be cops.
