What's the political reason for people not dressing nicely anymore? Maybe it's just an American thing but everyone in my part of the world wears yoga pants, poorly fitting t-shirts, etc.

Take the extra time in the morning, plan out buying clothes, etc. You can even buy second hand clothes on eBay at significant discounts and not look like a dumpster-diving bum.
