Probably nothing will definitively collapse for centuries if at all and if you are in a situation in which you are relying upon stocked provisions for an extended period of time, you will probably die anyways.

You should be self-reliant as a lifestyle, you should avoid cities and own land, and you should harvest game and you should use your land both for food and for revenue streams.

Everything that Jow Forums whines day in and day out about is pretty much a series of city problems that can be avoided if you forsake cities/towns.

Growing a garden and learning useful skills on the other hand is much more realistic and sane and you will still be prepared. Prepping and hording supplies is retarded. The only thing worth hording is maybe ammo but even then, you can only store so much before you attract attention to yourself. And even if you did store thousands of rounds of ammo, what are you going to do during a war? Hide out in your house so it can get bombed from above or turned into swiss cheese by whatever force you are opposing? Or you can try to cart it around with you - could maybe carry 500 rounds tops on your person.

Geeze a thread about survival food and nobody has mentioned Pemmican? You can make it yourself no problem. Lasts for decades, and you can add whatever spices and dried fruits you want to it for variety of flavor, or use different animals for the meat. You can survive off it it indefinitely.
