I don't understand how this series keeps getting reboots. It's like 50 years old and only ever had 3 seasons, nowhere near as popular or influential as something like Star Trek.
There's so many better things they could be making reboots and adaptations of.

Slapping an IP on an upcoming project is low-cost and has obvious benefits. If no one is passionate about the IP, that's even better - little chance of blowback if it sucks.
