Because it's not about responding to the bait, it's about responding indirectly to all the newer people who are reading the thread. Whenever someone makes "Why don't you like Communism" thread, 98% of those threads are baitposts, but I respond to them anyway. Why? Because whenever you let people walk into your area and do whatever they like without having their ideas challenged (even if those ideas are being shitposted ironically), then the entire intellectual space becomes degraded. By challenging egalitarians, communists, Anarchists and other scum every time they stick their heads out of the woodwork, you prevent them from gaining any sort of foothold, even if the person shitposting it isn't sincere.

Case in point: Donald Trump. I was here shilling for him ironically because he was a meme, in the beginning. Then the newfags and other reddit scum actually thought we were being sincere and legitimate with our support, and the end result was they flooded the board and it is almost unrecognizable now, only just over 2 years later.

Jow Forums has a habit of making the shitposting ideaology generate an actual support base, and if you let any type of communist, doesn't matter if it's a real communist or a fake one pretending for the shitposting fun, they will inevitably become normalized and gain a foothold.

So what do you do? Give detailed and specific points against the question or statement and sage it, then nobody can legitimize it, assuming enough people do it. Give them an inch and they will take a mile.

As cringey as it might sound, this place opened my eyes and actually taught me to think for myself, to not accept that which was placed in front of me unquestioned. Since then I've set myself on a course that places the future in my hands and I'm no longer miserable. I think it's a reasonable thing to spend some of my downtime here opening people's eyes, as thanks to those who opened my eyes. And if it becomes any more overrun with scum, then it's existence may very well be in jeopardy and everything that was given to me disappears for others who may need it, so I will do what I can when I can to stop that too.

A sufficient number of whites need to have their eyes opened, and we're not there yet, so I will do what I can towards that goal until the situation changes.
