I have been an atheist probably since I was 7. So many tips everywhere that made things not match.
As many people, I had my fedora-tipping time when I was a jerk, mocking of religious people. Thankfully that time has long gone (it lasted just a couple of years). My position now is of total neutrality. I am absolutely fine with people having their own beliefs, as long as they do not mess with mine. I am also come to learn that for some people, believing in a god (or gods) is good for their daily life, so I can understand the value of it. At the same time, I do not think there is any need of any god to be a totally OK guy, with moral standards and so on.
