I think Trump getting elected was a surprise to them, and they still aren't quite sure how to deal with it. Perhaps they're more concerned with holding on to what they have, rather than trying to dissuade Trump voters, who likely don't care that much about (((Hollywood))).
There's a certain idealism to being a musician. Its hard, and takes more than a little luck. But it's one of those "follow your dreams" paths. Most aspiring musicians are in their early 20s, maybe a little older but not by much. That kind of wide eyed look to the world is what Sanders attracts.
