However, I agree with you that the best way to reduce conflicts is ethnic partition and relative non-interference in other people's business. Like I don't really care what Nigerians or Arabs or Japanese do, I wish them the best but I want to focus on our own people. Yeah, Germany in general is an excellent nation and the National Socialist government helped that along. The contrast between Jewish-controlled, civil war-wracked, Communist-infested Weimar and what came after is incredibly striking especially since they didn't go to war until well after the Nazis came to power.

Lebensraum is geopolitical philosophy that warrants the constant geographic expansion of a race. It was first proposed by ethnographer Friedrich Ratzel in 1901, and played a decisive role in German foreign policy thereafter.
Germans had legitimate fears. The US and Russia had massive geographic areas, and thus, greater manpower and resources. Both nations played the decisive roles in Germany’s downfall. A nation that settles as much land as possible with its own people will generally be more secure in the future.
Most here would have no problem with Lebensraum if the land to be settled was empty or full of non-whites. However, the Germans sought to replace slavs in large areas of Eastern Europe. Was Hitler then a traitor to the white race? Before we reach a verdict, we should ask ourselves if there was another reason. I think there is a more profound reason for Lebensraum, a reason that Hitler did not fully grasp, but followed with the utmost conviction. Lebensraum is the only long-term counter against modernity.

In other words, the more attached a population is to nature, the more naturally it will behave. I don’t think anyone would disagree that if more of the population were rural, the left would have less influence. The more rural land, the more people living off the land. The more people living off the land, the more decent the people.

This idea got me thinking about Jeffersonian Democracy. Thomas Jefferson championed the idea that only agrarian societies of landowning farmers could form democratic societies, because their lifestyle cultivated the virtues of hard work, personal accountability, family, independent thought, and honesty.
With large amounts of cheap land people will more likely leave the degeneracy of the cities to make something of themselves in the countryside.

So, what happens to a society where there is no room for expansion? Where there is no room for conquerors and pioneers? Where an ever-increasing majority of the population is forced to live in urban areas. I thought back to the Mouse Utopia experiment.

Here we see a society that runs parallel to our own. A society where its members lose the will to live. Although they are mice, we can learn many lessons from their example. The conditions of the mouse utopia mirror our own modern and urban environment: limited space, very little natural selection, and over-socialization. For the mice, extinction was inevitable and irreversible. Degeneracy, unsuriviable behavior, overtook them. What caused degeneracy was an atypical social environment and what enabled it was lack of negative feedback from nature.
Humans differ in that they are more socially complex than mice, and therefore more moldable. However, trying to combat degeneracy in an urban utopia would still be an uphill battle even for humans. I would argue that it would be hopeless given the fact that major societal shakeups have always happened after a collapse, a natural feedback. Only when people go hungry do they really have the incentive to get off their asses and make fundamental changes.

But what if the mouse utopia had infinite space? The population would keep expanding indefinitely. With minimal overcrowding, there would be minimal social degeneration. Mouse society would stay more or less crystalized around healthy instincts.

Lebensraum not only minimalizes social degeneration, but also maximizes the number of people being selected by nature. I have come to the conclusion that it is the our only real means of fighting the root of our problems, modernity. No matter what utopia Hitler thought he could create, he knew he could only rely on the farmer. He knew that a society not centered around agriculture was doomed to degenerate. That is why Hitler did the unthinkable to white nationalists, and took steps towards replacing slavs.
