Friendly reminder that Gdansk is Polish
Friendly reminder that Gdansk is Polish
>Amesterdam tier houses
Polish-German rivalry is retarded, you're the same people like it or not.
amazing. any more interesting factoids, op?
It's a free city.
Poles and east german (prussians) were originally slavic tribes, west germans were frankish tribes
>Founded by the Polish rulerMieszko I
Ahh... it looks so edible... like gingerbread.
In Norway we only build in wood, and that's not edible.
Not anymore
>a pole drives a BMW
>BMW is polish
nice logic faggot OP
Except unliked Gdansk the poles didnt found BMW
No. I'd say give Danzig back, but if it were in Germany it would be filled with shitskins right now. So I guess keep it until Germany is cleaned.
>literally who
Under Polish rule the "city" had a population of 1000. It was only under German rule that it became an important and influential city.
You are the native Americans, the Germans are the huwhite man.
Danzig sure has some interesting polish architecture
When it was under the polish lituanian commonwealth it had a population of over 50000
Sure Danzig is Polish, because Poland is owned by Germany aswell
I'll post it again

Notice anything?
germcucks SEETHING
>Poland is owned by Germany
>gDansk
Clearly Danish.
Do you?
>muh mayors
I like how you ignore the fact that gdansk was founded by by Poland and was ruled for the majority of its history by Poland
>the absolute state of pollocks
So a Hansastadt that was primarily ethnically German for almost its entire history, governed by a German mayor and ruling council for most of its history, who represented the German merchant ruling class and whose language of government was German since the Middle Ages is Polish?
Is Warsaw a Russian city?
>Founded by Poles
>Ruled by Poles
>Ethnically Polish until they were dispalced
Its polish by literally every definition.
en.m.wikipedia.org
>"During theFirst Partitionof Poland in 1772, the inhabitants of Danzig fought fiercely for it to remain a part of Poland"
Stop embarrassing yourself 1/16 german amerimutt
>was primarily ethnically German for almost its entire history
Citation needed
Poles have controlled the city twice longer than the Germans.
>Founded by Poles
>Ruled by Poles
>Ethnically Polish until they were dispalced
>Its polish by literally every definition.
The cognitive is unbelievable. Danzig was not ruled by Poles. It was a hanseatic German city ruled by German merchants. I do not know how to further expound this point as even after multiple posts clearly stating the facts you are still denying reality. Danzig being a possession of the Polish crown does not in any way make it Polish nor detract from its distinctly German character and history. Homogeneous nation states are an artificial phenomenon of the 20th century and did not in any way exist beforehand especially in Eastern Europe.
>Stop embarrassing yourself 1/16 german amerimutt
I was waiting for this. Time to wrap it up folks, I've won the argument.
> In a document of 1271 the Pomerelian duke Mestwin II. addressed the inhabitants of the city as "„burgensibus Theuthonicis fidelibus", loyal German citizens, and mentions them separately from the Prussians and Pomeranians, who lived outside the city in an older settlement, the later known Old Town.[22][23]
So Los Angeles, Tucson and San Antonio must be Mexican cities then.
>Danzig was not ruled by Poles
Yes it was. It was subject to the Polish kings
>It was a hanseatic German
Its possesion by Poland was more important the muh hanseatic league
>Danzig being a possession of the Polish crown does not in any way make it Polish
Nice mental gymnastics
Let me repeat again
>During theFirst Partitionof Poland in 1772, the inhabitants of Danzig fought fiercely for it to remain a part of Poland
So are the death camps.
en.m.wikipedia.org
>Significant German influence did not appear until the 14th century, after the takeover of the city by the Teutonic Knights
>1308 Tuetonic Takeover of Danzig (Gdansk)
