Another is seemingly well-intentioned quibbling, or pretending to not understand very basic issues, so you waste time trying to explain stuff (their response to each clarification is to ask for all the more explanation, nothing ever clicks). Another thing I am seeing a lot of is straight-out namecalling, trying to just intimidate people into silence. I think the SOSNicaragua threads are as historic as the Syria Generals because I have not seen Nicaragua mentioned once by US MSM. In many SOSN threads, the first reply is telling the Nicaraguan OP to give up because nobody cares and calling him names. You will notice standard shill templates in apolitical boards. Perversely, we are blamed for this. People don't understand that this site, the whole site, is targeted by paid organized groups like ShareBlue.

The really obvious one is, go to catalog view, notice twelve threads that are all about the same thing, notice they were posted at about the same time, and in the most egregious cases are clearly using the same text and/or images.

You understand the problem about as well as Nation Spheres grasped the Polandball concept. We ought to have a minimum number of OP posts like /s/, otherwise the catalog is too easy to manipulate, whether OP shows up again or not. The problem isn't a literal number, it's a salient for bots to exploit. Make it slightly "harder" to be an OP and you take away most of what the shills rely on to attack us.
