>Will there ever be a generation as good as the 80s? What the fuck happened in the last 30 years?
No. We were the best.
Of course she sucked. That's why OP chose her.
They grew up and didn't have children. I am of that generation. Most of my childhood friends are childless or merely have one child. I on the other hand, have five children.
The (((media))) wants everyone to behave like homosexuals; that is, use contraception and have transient, sterile relationships.
The 60s were the best.
Tiffany and Molly Ringwald were goddesses in their prime. Debbie Gibson wasn't bad either. We'll never get that magic back, sadly. We lived to see it die and now we're forced to wander this hellscape for the rest of our lives as punishment for not preventing it.
Tommy James was better.
LOL I completely forgot about Gibson
it really was a simpler and safer time
There can never be a generation like the 80s again.
The lid cannot be placed back on the can.
The hope, optimism, nuclear family, white majority.... all of that is forever gone, even the blacks in the 80s wanted to be white, the Cosby Show dressed and spoke like white people did, Whitney Houston dressed and acted like a white person in the 80s....
the modern black separatist movement didn't start until about 1992 or so, with the rise of the "hip hop" movement, Snoop Dogg, Dre, gangsta culture....
This will bring a tear to the eye of you nostalgiafags

In the 2nd grade, my teacher made us fill out a list of details about ourselves on the first day of school. Then we were supposed to fill it out again on the last day to see how much we'd changed in the year. It asked my favorite song, and I wrote "Debbie Gibson Foolish Beat". When the end of the year came around, I looked at it and was like "WTF was I thinking?" I think I wrote an MC Hammer song at the end of the year. Pump it Up, I think.
I forgot about that one too. Thanks. I would like to make a compilation of 80's tunes I forgot about. Keep em coming!
The idea of a white straight Republican winning 49 of the 50 states in an Election at this point in time, or any time in the future is beyond laughable, but that was the outcome of the 1984 election.
We have no clue just how far this country has sunk in 35 years time, a black muslim being elected twice, gay marriage as the law of the land, divorce rates topping 50% in many zip codes, people believing there are two dozen genders... the rate of decline is picking up fast....
even if you go on YouTube and watch video segments of CNN or The View from 15 years ago, those were normal networks/shows just 15 years ago, and now they have become radicalized in just the past 5 or 10 years
the Left broke down every structure we had in this country, while the Republican party was obsessed with the Middle East over the past 30 years, the Dems sat back and took a wrecking ball to every square inch of this country, even my local Christian church is now pushing the "social justice"/"equality" dogma...
Thanks for the hearty kek user :)
If this video was released today it would be torn apart for not being diverse. Such sad horrible times we live in.

>Spandau Prison in Europe housed many prisoners including World War II Nazi prisoners. When these prisoners were hanged the swinging of the dead body was called the Spandau Ballet.
The degeneracy is accelerating. Just try and project what things will be like 35 years from now.
It's almost a comfort to take on a nihilist world view—that nothing matters and we all just die and never have to see what will come. But what if things do matter and reincarnation, living through ones's children is actually the point of all this mess. We will be reborn into a cesspool.
This is so damn glorious

Back in the 80s everyone looked like shit. No fashion sense and low quality of living.

Wealth and elimination of want happened.

ALWAYS A BANGER
1950-1960-1970-1980-1990-2000
Every ten years had a defining quality, or should I say MANY defining qualities. What the fuck does 2000-2010 or 2010-2020 have for defining qualities? A vacant corporate glaze to everything.
There are a few reasons I can come up with for this acceleration.
The internet, analogue to digital tv. Cellphones. 9/11
same as it ever was

Everything looks the same for the past twenty years, am i wrong? Gonna just post some pics.
just saw her in concert in Disney with the kids. She was super cool came right up to us and let us take pics with her. She was pretty good user.

OVER 9000 GENDERS, BIGOT
this photo makes me feel like pussy even felt different back then
We were the last of the new music generation. The European music from the 80s was incredible. Will never happen again - it's all nog shit now. Depressing and dark and unoriginal . Got 3 myself user - most of my friends have plenty as well. Where'd you grow up?
Bingo.
Euro music from the 80s was fantastic. The last musical gasp of a dying race.
fuckin 'a - as we used to say..
>1965 Immigration Amendment
>Birth right citizenship in the US
>Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, Regan allowed citizenship to people who entered illegally before 1982
>Mexicans & South Americans breed like rabbits
>Frankfurt School ideology becoming more common in academia and media
>Mass corporatism matched with economic boom creating a materialist culture
>MTV degeneracy
Resulted in
>generation of depressed Xers who had their identity stripped and replaced with consumerism and fake happy 80's culture
>depressed Xers turn to Marxism to fill in the gap that religion and culture once had
I was born in '82, all my friends have children.
As for what happened, unironically 911 and later the recession of '08
actually started in 87. Just saying
Im 48. been there, lived through all of it. BEST time period. To be honest.
The good old 80's playing Qbert at the roller skating rink, good times.
God, I would have loved to fuck the absolute shit out of Tiffany circa 1988
>boomer user who unironically believes this
Now is all your fault. kys.
This is a good question. You could look at the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, and see that each one had its own fashion and musical style which defined it, but from 2000 onwards there hasn’t been that, and you could look at the years 2000 and 2018 and it would look and sound pretty much exactly the same. This is a sharp contrast compared to say 1970 and 1988. So what happened?
The 80s. LOL.
Hey, here's a clue for you, user.
Can you tell me why by the end of the 80s most of GenX was pretty much like the cast of Ferris Bueller's Day Off?
After a decade of that shit, you would be either an asshole, or a cunt, or a beta too.
Oh yeah and Breakfast Club could have been a documentary.
There was nothing good about the 1980s. It was a last gasp at an attempt at something good, some Americana, something to be proud of. But the leftists already had their hooks in everything.
Look at the original movie Heathers. Remember how they made fun of the hippy teacher? Remember what she did and how suicide started to spread? That movie was prophetic (so was Cherry 2000 apparently).
By the 1990s that hippy teacher was in charge. Of everything.
But the seeds were there. The 1980s made a big fat big-haired mullet Camaro IROC-Z getting trashed by a drunken driver mess of itself. It was the last of everything good, that came to an end.
As intended.
As planned.
Make a new world and don't look back.
i was in my early 20s in the mid 90s. the party/techno scene was going strong, rock music was good, people were generally friendly and into having a good time, girls were very approachable, everyone wasn't always looking down at a phone, it wasn't a look-at-me culture, liberals hadn't fucked things up yet, etc.
partied hard but also worked hard. took my share of e, saw about a bunch of great concerts, met lots of people that also liked to have fun, had sex w a few dozen girls, great time to be that age
70s was best decade desu
holy fuck
>Modern Talking
my man
best German 80s pop - along with Sandra.
This user gets it. The 80's were pretty much shit. The US economy was pretty good unless you were a farmer or small business person, but britbongs were well into the service economy shit by then, buying their fucking Navy from Japan. The music was decent, but everything was geared to make things seem better than they were. Oh, yeah, and there was that whole living under the threat of nuclear annihilation thing.
t. actually alive in the 80s.
80's were the best:
Robin Sparkles was the best!
>things were good when I was 20
yeah go figure you dumb gen x faggot go back to posting about how deep Tool album art is
I was born in '81, so I was in elementary towards the end there. I remember doing the duck and cover drills under our desks and having to cover our heads and eyes for the "blast". It was an age when everyone really expected the end to come, but were kinda tired of it at the same time. Weird times from what little I remember.
Only a fool would prefer to live in the past.
Based!
It's a good thing, user. In fact I like the new order.
Back in my day.... ™
Our music, up until the internet, was ((controlled)) by gatekeepers who had an agenda. And what they did allow was hyped up beyond all reality. The bands of the 80s were really not so great, none of the great groups were. I was a roadie and saw many unknown musicians who would never become known and they were very very good. But they didn't have the look, or they didn't have ((the vibe)) or they didn't suck the right dicks.
Nowadays you can go on various streaming and music sites and pick up glorious works of art by musicians that Joe Sixpack and Sally Soccermom never heard of. And who the fucks cares that these retards never heard of it? What we had in the past was lowest common denominator shit meant to appeal to retards. What you can get now is esoteric works of art and maybe you can toss the musician a few bucks on Amazon or through Paypal. You can sell your music without having to "get signed". I watched monumental efforts by very good musicians trying to "get signed" go absolutely nowhere, their lives decided for them by certain people who did not qualify. Certain people with agendas. This is why heavy metal, once about kicking ass and getting laid, turned into fru fru glam pop. I saw a very good band get told "No thanks, buby, only things dat appeals to da 15 year old girl is good".
So don't complain about things not changing much in the last 2 decades. You can get anything you want. The alternative was 100 fold worse.
The only thing that has changed is internet culture and awareness of memes and the prevalence of technology in our lives, otherwise we are in a cultural decline in film, music, art, and literature.
