So nobody reads?

>2018
>Reading on paper

plebs

The Plague by Camus. It is great.

The International Jew by Henry Ford.

infinite jest but it seems really pretentious and smug

Book 2, wheel of time. Just finished the naked communist. You should read that if you haven't already.

Reading For My Legionaires now, I will get Jose Antonio when I finish the book

bump

Metaphysics by Aristotle. Planning on jumping in the deep end with philosophy and started with this one.

The second most jewish shit ever written.

Long, boring book. Couldn't get past the first chapters

A helluva time. Should've got the abridged version of all 3 volumes. Also, you should read Wealth of Nations first if you haven't already.

Having a few nice keks reading this one, especially hilarious was that one part when he explained how he uses the press to make free advertisement for him. Say what you will about the dude, but he is quite the character.

The Gallic War by Julius Caesar
Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes

Spell of the Sensuous by David Abram

Attached: Ancap-map.jpg (2426x2855, 1.63M)

Currently, Wealth of Nations by Smith. It contains a lot of archaic data, which I can't relate to the contemporary. Gonna read Kapital as well. Hopefully doesn't have all those figures and shit, just deluded ramblings. I've also decided to take breaks when I feel like I can't read this monotony anymore, so I read fiction instead. First i picked At the Mountains of Madness by Lovecraft. Then I had to study a bit and now I'm about to read Smith again.

Attached: ULTIMATE LIT GUIDE.jpg (4063x6657, 2.47M)

I was going to get the abridged version but I changed my mind. I want to focus on the first, take a break and then read the other two volumes at a later date.
To both, does it matter if I read kapital before wealth of nations?

Currently reading:
American Terrorist: Lou Michels and Dan Harbeck
The Israel Lobby: Mearsheimer and Walt
Legacy of Ashes: Tim Weiner
The History of Western Philosophy: Bertrand Russell
The Case for Israel: Alan Dershowitz (only so I can get a better look at kike arguments for Israel)

Attached: 9781433605093.front02.jpg (1317x1876, 283K)

My guess is you won't be as critical towards Kapital.

>What am I in for
expensive toilet paper

I've been reading the original Conan stories, that shit is gold it sums so much of Jow Forums ideals

You will learn about the outdated labor theory of value and all the wrong conclusions following from it. Yet, you can also learn that the production force drives the history, which is correct.

>Yeah Goyim your work it's meaningless only my currency manipulation counts.

Some work is meaningless.
If there were two men one digging holes and one filling them immediately after. What value has been added?

I feel like Ancaps are the only ones who do any real reading around here.

You are in for a free helicopter ride.

>Uses a typical currency manipulation example

>What am I in for?
Satanism.

Did you pick all volumes or just the first one? To my understanding it’s an excellent describtion of late 19th century capitalism, and some of its ideas can still be applied today. However marx was quite poor at coming up with solutions and the book is obviously outdated. On a further note it’s apparently very heavy reading.

Imo lists like these are completely excessive, and the issue is only made worse by the fact that most political books are very verbose.

The ancient greeks had already figured out most politics so that’s a good idea, but I also think that they have aged quite badly. For example their ideas on economics simply don’t work today.

It’s a good critique of capitalism, but proposed an unviable solution.

Wasn’t wealth written much earlier so kapital likely critiques it quite well?

And yet the two guys are working hard but contributes nothing to society. Their is no fruit to their labor, the sweat from their brow makes nothing.
And I just thought up of the scenario now. If it truly is a "typical example," then obviously I am not the first one to see the obvious holes in the theory.

Is this the first Marxist text you're reading? Don't get discouraged by the first chapter, it's probably the hardest to understand. The rest is pretty straightforward.

That’s because ancap is an ideology grounded in praxis and not reality.

Literally only two books by women. Disgusting. Sweetie, how can you understand politics if you don't understand half of the population?

They are not working hard they are manipulating the currency.

Only a retard or a kike will do as you describe cause someone who understand the value of work will use it for practical means instead of doing retarded shit to win arguments or shekels.

It’s worth noting that if someone pays you for digging holes and then filling them up it is good for the economy in terms of keynesian and monetarist thought. This gets even more ridiclous when you realise that keynesianism is probably the most succesfull type of capitalism, so insane examples like that can confuse any economic system or theory.

Not if there's no currency involved, this isn't a confused issue for resource economy as it's fairly obvious that you are just wasting resources.

now make a list of links to audiobooks on youtube.

Reading is the opiate of the masses. When you reach the end of the book, your job still sucks, your wife is still a fat bitch, the garbage still hasn't been taken out, your female coworker still doesn't want to fuck you, and your dick is still small.

The "solution" stems from the critique. The aim of communism is the abolition of the law of value, the commodity form. Marx's work tended towards this negative form.
To quote him: “Communism is for us not a state of affairs which is to be established, an ideal to which reality [will] have to adjust itself. We call communism the real movement which abolishes the present state of things. The conditions of this movement result from the premises now in existence.”

It doesn’t really describe how such a system is to be achieved or how it could even properly work. I suppose fascism and stalinism (red fascism) are the answer to those questions.

Karl Marx's books would be easier to waste time on if the labor theory of value wasn't so fucking stupid. Sucks that his entire political philosophy revolves around complete and utter nonsense.

Attached: Hashemi-Postel-–-Sectarianization-web.jpg (600x931, 365K)

It isn't supposed to. Communism is defined by what it's not, not what it is. Marx barely described or laid out a positive political project.
Also, while, I don't care much for Stalinism, I think those anarchist characterizations of it as Red Fascism are dumb and ahistorical. I hate how we call everything "authoritarian" Fascism.

Yeah, let's not read Smith or Ricardo either.
Fuck off.

he wants non-fiction

Well just describing something as not something is quite far from a viable solution. Furthermore stalinism can be characterized as red fascism because it shares the militarism, nationalism, traditionalism and such characteristics with fascist theory.

Fascism to me is something much more specific. It's a form of anti-modernity Modernity that rises as capitalism inevitably goes into crisis. Historically, it acts as Capital's last defense, as it enforces its rule. As Benjamin said, behind every Fascism there is a failed communist revolution.

I’m reading this to get into Muslim philosophy so I can compare the Muslim supporters of Aristotle with his detractors.

Those are characteristics which you ascribed to it are too vague and are ultimately superficial traits.

Nice. I've always wanted to explore Islamic philosophy, but I've been too busy with other things.

None of the commies understand, that all the description of a comminist "state" (or lack thereof) describes the features of a cemetery.

There is indeed very dark humor involved in the premises, and you need quite disturbed mind to be amused by it, nevertheless, there is humor. In luring idiots to their own graves.

>its impossible to run out of a resource as long as theres someone you can take it from

>pretty much all modern institutions exist only to brainwash and defile the masses into emasculated weaklings

Every Jow Forumsack should read this. It is short, concise, and makes clear what is wrong with contemporary society.

>“In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.”

>“A great many of those who "debunk" traditional or (as they would say) "sentimental" values have in the background values of their own which they believe to be immune from the debunking process”

>“For every one pupil who needs to be guarded against a weak excess of sensibility there are three who need to be awakened from the slumber of cold vulgarity. The task of the modern educator is not to cut down jungles but to irrigate deserts. The right defence against false sentiments is to inculcate just sentiments. By starving the sensibility of our pupils we only make them easier prey to the propagandist when he comes. For famished nature will be avenged and a hard heart is no infallible protection against a soft head.”

a science fiction novel

Reading on the screen doesn't feel the same, I prefer having a physical book in hand. Getting away from the computer for an hour is good for your eyes, Fabio

Not if it takes you six months to finish the book and you were lifting heavy weights 3x a week the whole time.

It's a fictional autobiography written from Hitler while he is in Hell he describes it as like Limbo but with Wikipedia and Libraries to research. So it's his from his point of view.

Full disclosure, it is written by an Israeli. But so far he's done a good job and even points out the biases from previous biographers (in Hitler's first person criticism). I'd recommend it so far as I'm only 30% through it.
