The servers were frozen for a solid couple hours, not just running slow.
It would be an end of an era, but eventually everyone would settle elsewhere. Jow Forums is just a meeting place, removing it doesn't remove the posters. Hell, wouldn't be surprised of more of the intelligent users would move to some Tor based chans, making tracking any "potential threats" that much harder.
