Politifact is such horseshit.
In a narrow, technical sense, it may be incorrect to say the Democratic Party, as such, created the KKK.
BUT the KKK was CERTAINLY created by DEMOCRATS.
And the KKK was STRONGLY affiliated with the Democratic Party.
And the Democratic Party USED the KKK to destroy Reconstruction in the South -- in particular, to intimidate black voters in the South from voting Republican.
The people who write this kind of deliberate disinformation should be horsewhipped.
