That is not allowed under WTO rules (which are American made rules). You cannot lower your tariffs for one single country unless you have an FTA signed which is deposited with the WTO.

TTIP would have massively benefitted America ... European consumers would have benefitted too, but not so much European exporters. This is why in Europe, the communists and socialists hated it because it would benefit large companies... and in America TTIP somehow ended up mixed in with TPP and NAFTA in the Trump rhetoric even though it is an entirely different beef (TTIP would have seriously lowered the trade deficit of America with Europe).

Dude, we have one of the largest specialty chemical industries in the world - maybe the most valuable and sophisticated. There is no way to stop producing chemicals which can be used to gas people - we need them for chemical processes to produce fertilizers, products for the car industry and machinery.

As to wine, we really don't care. We drink everything, our metrosexuals drink white wine spritzers with white wine from Germany - it is hip. American wine?
