I used to think that women weren't worth the trouble because they're all whores and that, if only the opposite was the case, then I would "put effort" towards them. But boy how I was wrong, and looking back now fills me with regret.
The rude awakening happened when I was watching BvS and it suddenly dawned on me that, no matter what I do, I'll never look as good as Henry Cavill, regardless of how hard I try, and that even if women were worth it there'd be no reason for them to feel attracted to me. Best case scenario I 'd get a 4/10 who'd only be with me for my money, something I definitely didn't want to go through.
At the end, I realized that all this talk about women being not worth it, even if true, is just something we tell ourselves to avoid facing the fact that we're not worth it either.
