I live in the Northeast and we have solar power. Unless I invested tens of thousands of dollars more into it it's simply not worth the cost of maintaining the status quo. Solar and Wind actually fuck the electric grid and cause electrical prices to rise because they are unreliable power sources and cause phase shifts that are very difficult to compensate for.
