On some levels, sure... the USSR would have loved to do what China now does. But there are differences. China is far, far weaker in terms of allies and relative military power. And also, Russians at least have white Christian heritage and therefore some empathy for their common man. Chinks are mostly heartless fucks who are perfectly happy to be debased by a mafia totalitarian government if they think they can get in on the action and get themselves ahead working the oppression system against their countrymen.
