So ive been thinking about it lately but the characteristics of fallout 4 are representative of all the religions. Think about it

The legion doesnt guard the roads very well either. Why pay tribute if they don't deliver. Self sufficiency is the true red pill.

The Legion is by far the best faction but has the least amount of content so I have never done a playthrough with them.

The thing is though Caesar has no reason to care about the common man. Why would you when most of the wasteland is degenerate tribals that would kill you soon as look at you? The only “good” towns in the Mojave are Goodsprings, Primm, and Novac. But even then, Caesar just proves his point. He exploits the weaknesses and uses it against them. Jeanie May, The Mayor of Nipton, just to name a few, betrayed their people and sold them out to the legion. There is no loyalty or anything holding together these post apocalyptic communities, and Caesar sees that, so he just destroys them.

The legion and the ncr are kinda the same only with different values. The NCR isn’t on some fast track to destruction. All civilizations collapsed, the pre war american one did but not because of anyones mistake.

Yeah there’s some mods that add skills and expand the dialogue so you know what your retarded character is saying, but other than that the game is just a loot grind. There’s some overhaul mods but nothing will ever fix the main issue with the game, and thats the story, unless someone REALLY wanted to fix that. Honestly I only play it for FROST

I think the Legion is something most would agree with if they didn't have the Slavery bit. I don't agree that Caesar should be a "god" like he considers himself the child of Mars, but the idea of getting rid of technology like:

It would be a cycle, a roundabout for Americans over and over and over again. Caesar being there, his presence in the Mojave and what he has done in Arizona and New Mexico? Is a break in that cycle. I think the Legion needs to continue on, but needs to shed a few of it's ideals first.

Yeah only thing I liked was being able to mod on consoles and forge mode. Built so many new places at unmarked but epic locations.

But I like Fallout 4. It may have shitty story, but that's not important. What's really important is open world, modding and HUGE potential for roleplay. Pretty much like Skyrim. Shitty story, shitty quest lines (literally all of them), but huge potential for roleplay.

Fallout 2 is cool too. For 90's. Now it's shitty low quality game. Great for nostalgic playthrough, but that's about it.

The problem with fallout 4 though is there is honestly no replay value and nothing you do at all matters. The settlement system is pointless and while I honestly love making settlements they aren’t really functional and only make the player think they’re doing something.

The NCR are both states restoring order and law where they control. None is really better than the other it just comes down to taste. The pre war US didn’t really make a ton of mistakes, the war was just the logical end of two empires grown as much as they could fighting over the last bit of resources. I found myself almost being hypnotized by Caesar, the music that plays when you first enter his tent, compared the somber atmosphere of The Fort. Christ Avallone and Josh Sawyer knew exactly what they were doing with the Legion, and how giving you 4 distinct options wasn't just a go here and kill this, but a mental and psychological battle between what you think is right and wrong.

Fallout New Vegas, is the best Fallout. Lonesome Road with Ulysses explaining everything to you is sheer redpill material. Also how the Tunnelers existed before the bombs fell, which is why the US Military had so many bases there makes you wonder why Ulysses says the battle for Hoover Dam is pointless, because the Tunnelers would find their way to the Mojave and destroy it. Again, so many mysterious, so much debate from a single video game that has so many ethical and social questions to it, is insane.
