Attached: 1508566736177.png (657x527, 25K)

I'm hungry now you cunt

They are underrated even in Greek context. Byzantines preserved Roman tradition and fused it in a very interesting as the empire became more and more Hellenized.

It's also good for you and your gains. Pls consume more feta

Attached: 1502997648668.jpg (800x820, 108K)

feta is fucking disgusting

can u give a recipe for tzatziki?

To bad the (((Greek government))) brainwashed alot of greek youths into joining (((PASOK)))(((SYRIZA))) and (((KKE))) these leftist oarties must be purged and golden dawn is a saving grace against alexis tsipras and the commies who dumbed down greece into accepting refugees

Feta is good enough. Now, feta with watermelon? Fuck tha shit desu.

>It's also good for you and your gains
Thanks for an excuse to eat more
>Pls consume more feta
Norwegian feta not as good, but i will greekbro
THEN GO GET FETA

Attached: god.jpg (308x283, 29K)

Tsipras is a total faggot. Grexit should have happened.

Isn't golden dawn a larp

True

What's that ?

This, Varoufakis dindu nuthin'.

Who the socialist ?

Well, he was one of the few that wanted us to get the fuck out, too bad Tzibras ended him desu.

Yeah

How do you feel about the fact that your monarchs were put in place by us British?

Full American puppet that was disposed of when the Americans wanted, after the Cyprus fuck up. They played the anti-commie card well so they were liked by the US but despised by Europe

Their military power sucked a mighty lot as well, especially logistics. Soldiers found crates of stones instead of weapons when they were drafted in July 74.

Byzantium is way more meaningful to the Greeks than it is depicted. It has essentially forged the modern tradition of Greece and it is likely mentioned less than Ancient Greece because the modern state wanted to focus more on ancestry than the continuation of the fallen empire

Pretty rational at first, no doubt, George I was the best King the Greeks ever had.

Too bad Constantine was a Germanboo and this caused the Great Divide; the country could have been a regional power if the royal family was not that stupid.

It is underatted because during the Greek revolution medieval history was demonized in western Europe (muh scotadism) so we had to larp as classical Greece, which on the contrary was glorified, to gain sympathy from them.
If the revolution have taken a more Byzantine resurrection approach it would have been crashed by (((them))).

What are you talking about? Varoufakis has always been pro the European project. He has always argued that Europe should be reformed from the inside, which is the entire point of his new DiEM25 schtick. When far leftists began to argue that Greece should exit, Varoufakis sympathized with them on the merits but basically told them it would be a huge mistake.

He's one of the staunchest believers in a pan-European order/identity/union, he just thinks that the European project needs to be democratized and reformed.

that pic fucking kek

anyway, the thread devolved into a foodie blog comment section

the junta was an inside job

Attached: armenian-genasside.png (397x510, 368K)

How ?

greece show the growth that the 3rd reich had during hitler.
Georgios Papadopoulos, our supreme leader, along with his ministers, did so good to the country's economy that they could stop getting free military gibs, rust buckets actually, from france and the states, and stop being france's and nato's bitch.
The Junta decided to stop getting free rust buckets, and went abroad to discuss military equipment agreements with other countries.
That didn't please the "allies".
In 1973, there was a movement from a university, a polytechnic one, to try and create instability in the capital.
Communists were a part of this movement, because they were against the patriotic government.
The communists, while they were siding with anti-gov't movement in the university, they saw many foreigners between the organisers of the movement.
The Communist Greek Party, ΚΚΕ, several days before the Greek D-Day, said that they are withdrawing from the movement, because there have been many foreigners who guided the anti-gov't movement.
After that day, our supreme leader left the country to an incompetent faggot. a few months later the cockroaches invaded Cyprus,
lefties are happy because the patriots lost, they don't care about cyprus.

tl;dr : US program didn't want Greece to be independent, and I mean financially and military independent, so the best leader in the last 50 years was overthrown because it didn't fit zog's plans.
There are so much info about this, but everything is in greek. Most facts are hidden by the mnm. Recently, April 21st, the govenrment's TV channel made a comedy-like TV tribute to the Junta, and made fun of all those people who in 6 years (1967-1973) created all the heavy industry infrastructure of the country, such as bridges, electric grid, docks, trains, e.t.c..
I wish I could overthrow these motherfuckers and make them some Colombian ties in Syntagma Square

Papadopoulos even received pension money in a sealed envelope while in jail up until the end.

Varoufakis wanted to exit the EU in an orderly fashion, despite also believing that yes it should be reformed from the inside. His plan involved a transition using a bitcoin-tier currency (even with the backing of whatever greek economy is), until Greece could fully stand on its own. Besides, the transition from drachmes to euro didn't happen in a night either.

As for the far leftists, it wasn't just them that wanted Greece to exit and yes Varoufakis claimed it would be a mistake because it was, the idea of an exit under the current conditions would be disastrous.
Stop regurgitating what you read from cnn translations.

What territory was that?

Probably the saddest realization is that there is no master plan. That the people "running the show" are stumbling around in the dark, incompetent and insecure of their every step and move, trying to make the best decisions they can with the very limited knowledge that they have.

The world isn't run by powerful and brilliant men, it's run by the idiots you went to school with. Every one of us is a monkey stumbling around in the dark, like a drunk in a stupor.

>Varoufakis wanted to exit the EU in an orderly fashion
Do you have a source for that claim? I have never seen him argue seriously for leaving the EU, aside from mentions of "worst-case scenario" bullshit if democratization fails. His goal has always been to work and reform Europe from the inside.
>Stop regurgitating what you read from cnn translations.
Classic "you don't have the privileged knowledge I have by virtue of speaking the language, therefore you can't possibly know what I know and so I win" bullshit.

Provide a source in Greek that says what you claim and I will listen to it/read it. Surprise, I'm fluent in Greek. Greetings from the diaspora, retard. Why the fuck would you think some rando burger would follow/keep up with Varoufakis or DiEM25 in the states? You are always talking to diaspora on Jow Forums in these types of threads, remember that.

Northern greece

>What is your opinion on the Greek military Junta of 1967-1974?
BASED
>Do you guys feel about the byzantines?
BASED x 2.
Byzantium is coming back.

Papadopoulos was a good guy the reast were fags who lost us Cyprus and made heroes out of comounists

We ARE Byzantium and coming back stronger.

I wish greece would leave the eu and bring back the drachms

...What part of northern Greece was lost due to the junta?

>Surprise, I'm fluent in Greek. Greetings from the diaspora, retard.
It's not a surprise, you sounded stupid and misinformed enough to be Greek in the first place.
As for the sources you're asking of me, you clearly know where to find everything, being ''Greek'' and all. Google, hear his speeches, read the book maybe. Why do you want me to spoon feed you? If you can't understand what you're hearing and reading, I cannot really teach you comprehension.

Some aspects of it were alright, but it was highly incompetent. Cyprus was lost in part due to their disastrous foreign policy.

The Brits would have signaled the Turks to invade either way, but the Junta has remained in public memory as the regime responsible for the loss of Cyprus, so even those who'd under different circumstances be sympathetic towards it dislike it.

It was decent enough until the counter coup, but its disastrous effects from that point onward linger to this day, so its legacy is irreconcilable in the mind of the average Greek.

The Junta can be divided into two phases. The first and longest being under Papadopoulos (relatively peaceful and beneficial for the nation in terms of economic growth and industrialization, tried to liberalize towards the end, which triggered the hardliner coup that followed) and the second following the counter-coup of Ioannidis. The loss of Cyprus can be attributed entirely to the second, as the events leading up to the war were set in motion by the Cypriot coup they sponsored, but though the decisions made were poor and hasty, I doubt the regime of Papadopoulos would have reacted much differently. Cyprus was at the time under the command of British puppet bishop Makarios, presently hailed as a national hero in his homeland, who repeatedly attempted to remove the Greek military presence from the island, and went as far as stating that he believed the Turks to have been less threatening. The Ioannidis regime responded by deposing him and installing an anti-British guerrilla leader in his place. The Brits in turn signaled Turkey to invade, and so the war began.

Greeks universally despise Ioannidis, but Papadopoulos remains controversial. Few like him save for those who got to experience the regime themselves, but hatred for him is mostly confined within leftist circles. The left leaning youth also has a tendency to express hatred for the regime more openly, but the prevailing societal attitude is one of indifference

I meant northern cyprus

>Google, hear his speeches, read the book maybe. Why do you want me to spoon feed you?
Another classic from you. Looks like the sources don't exist and you have egg on your face. Go scurry along now.

So for the next question, how was it junta's fault that the Greek army forces stationed in Cyprus were ordered by NATO to step back and not resist (even though many still did) during the invasion from what was considered an ally back then?
Quick recap, both Greece and Turkey joined NATO in 1952.

Attached: junta.jpg (1280x720, 107K)

>I'm not going to search anything on my own, but yes I promise I will check anything you source for me even if it's hour long.
HAhaha who are you trying to fool? Your Greek scams may work in muttland, not here.

It was not. The Brits and Makarios were the first to shill for it.

Cyprus wasn't in NATO. This is a common misconception because everyone assumes that Cyprus is just another Greek province when it's literally a different country inhabited by Greeks.

Yep, you're right in your previous post too.

There's nothing to find, retard. In every one of his speeches he mentions his primary goal and belief in working within Europe. It's the entire ethos behind his DiEM25 movement, whose entire purpose is, as he puts it, to democratize and reform the European project.

I could spend dozens of hours right now trying to find a source where he claims he wants Greece to leave and I would never find it. You basically are telling me to go find something that doesn't exist and to then report back to you weeks later after not having found a thing. It's about as meaningless as me telling you to go find a unicorn, it's out there trust me, please spend the rest of your time on this Earth looking for it.

Here is the manifesto of the DiEM25 (also in picture):
diem25.org/manifesto-long/
Let me guess, this is all bullshit and he believes in none of it? He is the co-founder of DiEM25 as some kind of elaborate hoax and instead I should believe you that he wants Greece to exit first and foremost, right?

Here I am providing you sources for what I am saying. See how easy it is? Now provide me the source where Varoufakis is staunchly anti-Euro and is an exit proponent first and foremost.

Attached: DiEM25 manifesto.png (1168x853, 60K)

>Cyprus wasn't in NATO.
It doesn't matter. The fact of the matter is turkey was invading a foreign land where an ally had military on and said military was ordered by the NATO to step down, despite its eagerness to defend.
That absolves junta of any responsibility.

>being so butthurt for being wrong
>greek
Checks out.
First of all, obviously Varoufakis wanted to work with Europe and he stressed it every time because we needed Europe. Without it we'd collapse. What we didn't need, however, is what's happening now, which even a toddler can tell Varoufakis was against and that's why he was driven out by Alexis The Great.
Secondly, no of course I'm not sending you to a unicorn chase. I'm stating you are unable to see the unicorn even if I brought it in front of you.
Lastly, the diem25 you are sperging so hard about has nothing to do with his role as a minister of finance, despite how short it was.
protip: he was out of office by summer 2015. diem25 formed next year.

>See how easy it is?
I believe even someone as stupid as you has realized I'm Greek, so you have to understand you're only making me laugh with your kindergarten sarcasm.

Stop hiding behind a meme flag.

Also, this conversation is over as long you refuse to source your claims. Varoufakis' beliefs are most clearly represented by DiEM25's own manifesto, the movement that he is a co-founder of, and you have failed to dispute that. That's the last reply you'll get out of me.

webtv.ert.gr/ert1/themata/21i-aprilioy-1967-o-klaysigelos-mias-diktatorias/
It's like watching north korea propaganda

American puppets that taxed the shit out of everyone through internal debt shenanigans, gave up half of Cyprus and stained the right wing politics giving the left the moral highground for ever
Everything from Naples to Antioch is GREEK

>this conversation is over as long you refuse to source your claims
I don't really care much about continuing a convo with you either way. As for my sources, that is not how I learned to discuss. If you weren't a disgusting mutt mr ''diaspora'' you 'd know when we go for coffee we don't carry a big bag of memes or speeches in mp4 on our phones to defend our points. I also hate spoon feeding. Do your research at home if you want.
So yeah, diem25 is irrelevant to what he wanted to do for Greece. Stop spreading misinformation and enjoy your 1st of may.

>ert
Jesus Christ, when did people take ert seriously? No matter the governement people always laughed at how blatant it was, does it even get 2-3% of total viewers?

faggot

Grikos will rise again

I didn't say that.
I said that the Junta opposed the military and economic independence of a nation with great strategic location.
Link you facts?
Ok, a book written in greek and presented in arttv.info (that's a tv channel's site) in november 17 2017. That's all the facts you are looking for.
I hate it when you tell people details and they don't bother to at least search for i formation.
I didn't reply with "ur fag" or "no u" e.t.c., i told you specifically what happened, open your fucking eyes and look for articles about this. I might give you a biased source, would this be ok?
Greece was already under zog influence due to the truman doctrine.
The "democratic" gov't in greece received funds from the states in 49 50 and 51.
If you want infi about the "agents" that started the "revolution" against junta, the best source is the communist site rizospastis.gr where you can find publications of the anti-junta party claiming that the rebels where not even greeks and they were foreign "agents".

They say that the greek junta betrayed cyprus when the cockroaches invaded.
A coup d'etal started by the leader of the green beres against the anti-greek governor of cyprus. The greeks in cyprus wanted to unite with greece.
The governor fled cyprus and went to the u.k.. There he met the cockroach ambassador and told him to inform his cockroach president that in cyprus happens a movements that opposes the turkish interests in the area.
The cockroaches then invaded cyprus.
This happened 9 months after papadopoulos left his position to a puppet which favored the "democratic" forces in the country.
The states and the e.u. have always been supporting Turkey financially and militarily in order to be a worthy opponent against the Greeks.
That's the kind of shilling that happens against the palestinians, or when the "opposition" overthrew gaddafi and libya is now the best marketplace for slaves and human organs.

once you realise that only leftist subhumans talk negatively about the Junta, while praising their own shitty leaders, you understand that everyone sucks equally.

Everyone is already talking about the Cyprus catastrophe. Another thing to add is that Junta failed to unite Greeks.

When all is said and done, the big flaw of modern (and not only) Greeks is that we are relatively easy to d&c.

Bump

What do Greeks think about Turks?
Do you still believe Constantinople will return to Greece?
Will thr Megali idea ever be implemented?

>What do Greeks think about Turks?
They are subhumans.
>Do you still believe Constantinople will return to Greece?
Yes.
>Will thr Megali idea ever be implemented?
Yes.

What do Greeks think about the British helping form their country and the British influence during 1820-1923?

Attached: 1525119276483m.jpg (482x1024, 39K)

Unfortunately some Greeks are anglophiles. The majority of us however believe that Brits are backstabbing scum.

How about the Russians? The Russian Empire fought very hard to reclaim the Byzantine Empire(although they were stopped by Britain and France).

Attached: 1524320609411.jpg (720x796, 54K)

Most Greeks like the Russians, although I have my doubts about them. Currently they're buddies with the turkroaches, for example.

The chunta itself did alot of good when it was active.
But it ended disastrously.
The dicator in 74 sold out Cyprus, on american orders. Not only we lost half of Cyprus, but both our left and right were eternally pissed at americans, some still are.
The 73 incidents gave the leftists an eternal mora highground in Greece and every hooligan has free reign to do whatever they please inside universities.
A bunch of opportunistic politicians took advantage of the aftermath of the chunta to rise to power and make Greece what is today, a failed state.
So basically all our current problems can be traced back to the chunta, and the chunta itself was a product of the political instability of the 60s that was insitgated by the americans.

Enough with the mossad collection, jewish czech

The number of times Anglos have backstabed us is ridiculous.
