Taxi drivers are AWFUL here. There is a taxi rank up by the station, yet they always drive at 30 up to the busy gates of the park, not giving a shit about the time of day or how many kids are running from the entrance to Sainsbury's. They charge extremely high prices (£42/12 miles - £3.50 per mile) and tell the transport pigs (who only care about speech crime incidents) if you shout at one for driving awfully or overcharging you. I'd rather be inside the taxi when they're driving about. They mount the pavement, speed and straight up refuse to see anyone in front of them. Half the dangerous incidents that they almost cause happen off the road in pedestrian areas.

Even worse is the fact that idiots coming out of the station use these taxis and keep feeding their system money. Buses are cheaper, but nobody who isn't from the area can be bothered to walk or figure out which bus to get on.
