Mueller’s office says it has no evidence in its possession responsive to the request from Manafort’s lawyers for transcripts, notes, or tapes of anything to do with Manafort dealing or talking with Russians. However, throughout the past year, NBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN have all run stories claiming the special counsel has evidence of Manafort being in contact with and discussing things with Russian government officials. But today or yesterday, the special counsel’s office, > “No, we don’t have anything, when they were specifically asked for it by Manafort’s lawyers.” >So what it means is that somebody in the special counsel’s office has been lying. Have been lying to the media, have been leaking to the media for the past year that Manafort, that they have evidence that Manafort has been communicating with Russians.

He was bible thumping during the campaign, though I understand and know why he had to. I also don't believe his beliefs are very sincere, which is a relief. There are various other trends and factors as well like Asian Americans being a median age of 36 as opposed to 43 for white Americans and the deleterious effect of college and higher education which they pursue at much higher rates.
So let the public see his refusal to agree to it. It would delegitimize Mueller further. Nobody ever said the questions had to NOT be a televised TV spectacular. What does Mueller have to hide?
