Does anyone think Science and Religion destroyed the human spirit? I like science to a certain extent, we don't need technology to do everything for us.
I don't know where i am on the spectrum but i'm not an atheist or agnostic. I don't believe in god, i only believe in myself and others.
Only the truth can stop the wars and make the world the paradise it can be.
Jesus said, "Show me the stone which the builders have rejected. That stone is the cornerstone."
The evidence = the truth. Religions say the truth is the way, but ignore it.
It is the truth that makes the law and medicine work. For religions to work the way that they promise to, they must also be based on the truth. It is the reason why Jesus uses the word “truth” more than any other word.
The Bible says religion must be founded on rock. It is a metaphor meaning that religions must be founded on the truth, because it is as solid as a rock.
Mind disease:Our overbearing minds are like a disease. Like many diseases, it makes us feel bad. The mind, by separating us from true life, does not let us feel nearly as good as we should. The mind prevents us from being unified with life.
We just need a large dose of the truth to cure it and eradicate it from the earth, but we are doing the opposite, and we are doing things that just make us more sick.
organized religion was a major contributor to the decline of the human spirit but I don't see a problem with religion in and of itself.
Aaron Reyes
it's you again with the oneness shit i love jews come at me
Cooper Allen
satanists destroyed our natural right to spiritual pursuit.
The destruction of all that is spiritual is calculated and measured.
Ryan Robinson
Judaism is a religion.
Jews aren't an ethnicity. That's brainwashing.
Jordan Kelly
>I don't believe in god, i only believe in myself and others.
In other words, we are all gods
Joshua Hill
Science is an illusion, it helps people feel safe and intelligent but reality is far beyond what any human being can even comprehend and eternity transcends time
Nope. Science and religion should go hand in hand. They aren't mutually exclusive.
Christopher Williams
Put a diaper over your Muladhara poo nigger.
Alexander Ramirez
>i'm not an atheist >I don't believe in god What?
Lucas Gray
Science is the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden.
We know too much for our own good, we were barred from paradise because of it.
It's all about keeping balance.
Samuel Murphy
This.
We will go to such lengths to corrupt truth nowadays to avoid offending anybody.
Jack Johnson
Spirit = emotion Emotion = chemicals Our brain releases chemicals into our blood and we experience that as an emotion. God is an emotional state of being one experiences.
Caleb Reed
Your physiological basis is not exactly right.
Religion and divinity is beyond the material, it does not mean it cannot manifest itself in material things.
>If this were the case we would not have the ability to observe our own mind process Do you have any justification for that?
Gabriel Cox
Open anahata and muladhara chakra
Noah Martin
>I don't know where i am on the spectrum but i'm not an atheist or agnostic. I don't believe in god, i only believe in myself and others. My guess is you are about 80% of the way to “autism” on the spectrum.
Brody Hall
Why should I listen to what a series of chemical reactions (i.e. you) is trying to tell me?
Josiah Perry
According to Vedas, kama(lust), krodha(anger), lobha(greed), moha(delusion), mada(pride) and matsarya(jealousy), are the six negative characteristics of mind which prevent man from realizing the atman – the true self.
Have you ever been in deep meditation? With meditation we remain as observers while our mind is explored to its depths, there's no way in hell we are the mind, we are an observer that watches the mind.
Angel Mitchell
Then stop wallowing in moha and abandon pagan superstition
Cooper Collins
Believing in God helps the math along. The reason it takes 'longer' than it 'should' is because we don't want to 'get there' without the math to explain it. Fact-checking is a thing nowadays. You're free to do it anyway; it's a choice.
John Myers
I can rid myself of everything except lust. Why is Lust the hardest?
Gabriel Cox
Because it’s a need. It’s not just a want.
Asher Jenkins
We used to only become better at science through our spiritual cunning. That should tell you everything you need to know about both.
Religion is not good the moment it takes you from the spiritual & puts you back on earth in any way, shape, or form.
Camden Campbell
I'm not that stoned-out Spaniard, but in traditional theology it's understood that the mind can't be material because it can grasp the Forms (or universals). If the mind was material, rather than being able to think things like "triangularity" or "universals," it would just take on some kind of physical form instead and be stuck in that form.
You can't live without sin only through your own efforts, it's impossible (called Pelagnianism). Do your best at all and trust in the mercy and forgiveness of God when you fail.
Wyatt Reed
Lies, lust has no need. You don’t need to have sex or masturbate to wake up tomorrow or the next for years. You’re delusional.
Justin Campbell
Oh, so your feels then. You have nothing.
Noah Garcia
* at all times
John Williams
He has more than you’d hope to achieve, it’s almost as if you’ve never sat and existed for a time by yourself outside the computer screen in nature and truly felt and explored your own interaction with reality.
Yes, since if there were no forms, there is no such thing as a piece of chalk, and if you broke a piece of chalk into two pieces, at least one of them would become something new (probably both would be different new things if you were being consistent)
John Lee
>intentionally opaque to try and trick people into thinking he knows what he's talking about
Hunter Green
The mind needs to be clean. It all starts with diet. Not muh meditation
Sebastian Lee
>feels This is why I don't argue with fedoras, they ignore the evidence no matter how blatant it is and they keep at their brain rut
Dominic Torres
Pls guru, tell me how spirituality is done, I'm only a liberated soul, whatever would I know?
Carter Adams
someone needs to be a martyr but the fear of death is strong.
Camden Wilson
"piece of chalk" is merely a handy simplification of reality people made up to describe a range of materials You saying "one of them would become something new" implies that there ever was this absolute metaphysical peice of chalk, instead of the infinetely more complex reality of the object. You're literally just being semantic.
Easton Watson
Nah senpai one time I was tripping balls on 400ug of LSD and saw god himself. It's proof that God lives in all of us, without a doubt.
Adrian Jackson
I was like you a long time ago. It's a good place to be. Better than most. I used to do Buddhism. In the end I was selling shrooms through head shops while it was legal and used to do a lot of writing about it on a website. I did a lot of traveling and spirit questing with psilocin and DMT. Ended up believing in God and turning all Flanders. I wouldn't use /pol if I wasn't panicking about tech/religion and the power of money wrecking everything. Good luck leaf.
Zachary Reed
Are you seriously trying to say that you talking about how you felt while doing nothing is evidence of anything? Because it's not.
Nicholas Carter
And there is no such thing as a triangle either? Like if I tell you that there is such a thing as a 2D closed shape with 3 non-intersecting sides (a form), that this somehow doesn't actually exist?
Bentley Parker
Vegetarian diet Avoid Flouride at all costs (check toothpaste) No meat Drink milk, dairy is okay
why the fuck does (((f a m))) filter to senpai fucking weeb moot
Jace Brooks
>felt You're the only one talking about feels here, out of your ass, so you tell us
Charles Mitchell
Ok fag.
I'm Self realized and I needn't do any of that.
Bentley Ramirez
Dude our technology and philosophy IS the human spirit at work. It may be our genetic expression according to science or the inspiration of God according to religion. They're expressions of what makes us human. More generally, our abuse of them, like authoritarian religious nuts or the "tech can fix anything" mindset of s0ibois, is the real issue here.
Nathan Perry
You’re right, I should in fact educate myself more.
Dylan Lopez
Concepts were invented by people.
Sebastian King
I never done drugs in my life. I don't like buddhism at all. I don't like bongs.
I like money and the cosmos will give me it.
Ryder Lopez
we live in a society
David Thomas
There is literally nothing else you could have possibly have experienced during meditation.
Nathaniel Kelly
Rewrite this without using the concepts of "concepts" or of "people"
>ego I'm not hindu, so I leave my ego alone, what about it?
I was atheist, was meditating and I experienced first Self realization and next union with God.
It was a pretty particular experience, kinda weird, the union part was amazing, anyway i started a quest for religion after this, and no religion seemed true, though gnosticism seemed like a strong candidate.
William Lopez
After doing all of this, then meditate.
Austin Gonzalez
There's no reason why I should have to do that. Communication is impossible without the abstract. That's why we created it.
Ryder Baker
You don't like the money. You like the things money can buy. Fancy trinkets are a dead end.
Well for starters one thing that happens a lot during meditation is visions, that's not a feel, it's a full blown vision.
Jeremiah Jones
I'm not even into Materialism. Stop projecting.
Connor Allen
Because the concepts being communicated are in fact real things. I mean, how can you even say that the forms are fake when the basis of material reality (protons and electrons) are things that all take on the same form
Levi Parker
You mean sitting and doing nothing, just relaxing? Yes. There was no magic. Even if I did feel something, that put me under the same impression you guys have, it still would prove nothing.
Bentley James
>sitting and doing nothing, just relaxing Confirmed for now knowing even how to meditate
