The left considers any contrary views to be absolute apostasy, blasphemy even. The fact that anything they don't want to hear is said or any fact they don't like exists is equivalent to a physical crime to them. So when 99% of the media agrees with them it is normal and the way things should be but when any voice, no matter how small, disagrees it stands out to them the way a public rape on main street in broad daylight would. They don't see the media as supporting them because they start from the assumption that all media should support them so they only notice when it doesn't. It is very similar to cognitive dissonance although I'm not sure if that is the precise term for this situation.

For perhaps a better example when you drive down a busy road you don't notice the hundreds or thousands of drivers doing the same thing but you get pissed off at the asshole who cuts you off and complain about him later at the bar to your friends. That is how the left sees the media. That is why they see no bias. It is also why they get so offended when you bring up black and muslim crime rates. They live in the assumption that all races are the same and anything contrary to that is not just wrong but evil and must be abolished. Anything contrary to their views is not different, it is wrong in an existential way, outside the boundaries of logic or argument and must be eradicated. The mere existence of dissent is what they complain about, not the matter itself.
