My suspicion is that your initial assertion “that non whites benefit from aa more than whites benefit from wp” is true to some extent however it’s important to note that white don’t have the same cultural and genetic disadvantages that some other groups have (you can argue that those shouldn’t be addressed).

You really can’t without taking into other factors. Just like the gender pay gap it makes the assumption that both men and women are bringing the same to the table to start with. The whole “there’s no difference between blacks and whites (for example) than skin” is completely untrue. To start with 67% of black children grow up without a father (25% of white children), not having a father is the second worst thing that can happen in a childs development both economically and socially. Black culture and white culture are not the same and are thus not of equal value thus the idea that black and white applicants will be bring exactly the same to the table on average is basically impossible. There are too many factors to be remedied to make a fair and accurate calculation. Single fatherhood is literally onky one factor I mentioned and there are literally hundreds more. Also another factor that’s never considered is that the number of each race applying for a job isn’t proportional to the races population share. It’s not that simple user.

Let's go back to 1953. My grandfather had just returned from the Korean war, to my grandmother and my aunt. He got a job at a UAW plant, and used the G.I. bill to get a practically costless mortgage on buying a new house.

So when my mom was born a few a years later, she was born into about the best working class hosuehold you could. The house they bought was in a good neighborhood, so she had some pretty good public schooling. The family's very low mortgage had allowed them to start saving up, ultimately putting my mom through both college and law school.

My mom is retired now, after making six figures for more than a decade. I'll likely have a six figure inheritance, to say nothing of coming out of college with zero loans, and excellent health insurance throughout my entire life.

The thing is, if I was black? All of that goes away. Grandpa comes home from the Korean war, and probably gets denied G.I. benefits by racist local administrators. Even if he got it, he'd be redlined out of good neighborhoods and schools, and his investment would be much worse. Mom doesn't get a good public school education. Even if she did, the family wouldn't have been able to save up for her college. Even if they did, she would be applying to racially discriminatory colleges and law schools. Even if she got in, she'd be applying to racially discriminatory law firms. Even if she got the job, she'd still see massive pay gaps between her and her white male colleagues.

It is no exaggeration to say that my white privilege is, over the course of my lifetime, worth over a million dollars in goods and services to me. That's why white privilege is white supremacy.

And sure, it's not really my fault. In fact, I don't feel the slightest bit guilty about this entire thing. It all happened before I was born. But it's still true that much of my fortune is built on theft and bigotry. I benefit from it, and I can do my best to make sure that those harmed by it get a fair shot.
