Eastern Germans hate Poles because during the GDR times the Poles could travel to Western Germany and they could not. Much envy. After reunification lots of Poles came to Eastern Germany (rural areas) and stole farming equipment or broke into homes (they still do that near the border).

Has nothing to do with the Nazis. The Eastern Bloc allowed different levels of freedom. Eastern Germans had issues with the Poles for the reasons I stated. But they went to Hungary or Bulgaria for vacation and they liked them usually. But usually they have no issues with other Europeans, West or East. In fact they're emotionally closer to today's Eastern Europeans because of their anti-Merkel policies.
