No. The whole point of iran having nukes would be to use as a deterrent, so keeping them secret would not make sense.

Five years ago, the conventional wisdom was adamant that NK was decades away from possessing an ICBM capability and H bomb, so perhaps your confidence re Iran is somewhat misplaced.

We have the means to develop them, and I vehemently support a mexico with a modern and well prepared military. There is nothing wrong about developing means of self defense.

The only relevant questions are: is there at least one other practical method of centrifugation which was not considered when assessing NK's future capability, and might Iran have it? The fact that Western "Intelligence" was so wide of the mark in their estimates of NK's ability to produce fissile material suggests that the answer to the first question is "yes", and to the second, " entirely possible, so better to err on the side of caution."

Following the epic failure of imagination by the Intelligence services re NK, might I suggest that such estimates are likely complete bunkum.

Just buy a nuke from the paki's, invade Iran, topple the regime, "find" the nuke inside some Iranian bunker, take a picture of it with Trump next to it giving a thumbs up, install a US friendly regime and be done with it.

Afterwards arm some rebels to keep Syria in a complete state of disrepair until its people rise up themselves to topple Assasd.
