It feels like there was a spiritual shift and everything has been shit since then...gamings shit...movies are shit...music is shit.
DAE feel like there was a shift in mood around 2009-2011?

They took hold.
Harder, if anything.
Yes absolutely.
Are you also 25 by chance?
2007-2008 I'd say
The mood shift occurred in 2001. The modern world is the Age of Anxiety. But things became noticeably worse in 2001 when their plan was implemented. In 2008, the year of the financial downturn and Obama's election, things became immeasurably worse.
Things are getting a little better, but it still feels the same, frankly.
There have been many such shifts - what you felt was simply the last and most vicious fruition of the odious ideological cactus planted in the 1960s that steadily grew and entangled the West in its spike-studded arms. This is the frothing, raving mother of feminism, cultural Marxism, political correctness, etc. It is currently thrashing about like a wounded beast in its death throes, flailing its limbs - attempting to destroy as many as it can before it finally perishes in the dust.
It's the kikes
I remember it being around the time Glee started airing
There was no shift. You just got older.
Facebook.
this
end of the Bush era, recession, and facebook/twitter/etc taking off all at the same time
Gaming, movies and music are all better than ever
2007 was when the media and economy went to shit, 2011 is when the sjw bullshit started to show its face.
2009 was the year I abandoned my home and moved to the netherlands. turns out there are more mosques along the rhine than in all of fucking qatar.
As fascinating and adorable as this is: one should never ever "help" a wild baby anything. There are good reasons for the mother to abandon young. Usually, it means the mother can sense something is wrong with the offspring that would inhibit its survival later on.
The only exception to this rule is when man screws up the habitat and the mother bails. Such as a tree being cut down and a nest of birds surviving with no mother in sight.
Bro... It's called getting older. I'm in my thirties. Believe me, it's all shit now.
look i get that you're shitposting and trust me i love you guys for that you were are greatest ally in the meme war Australia but ffs use a meme flag if you are going to lie about living in the netherlands
....yes...fuck
This is the correct answer.
This is also when the internet changed for the worse. The rise of social media. A few big websites controlled by a few big corporations being responsible for most internet traffic. The rise of censorship of politically incorrect comments and media on the internet. The rise of government surveillance and data collection of the internet.
Obama effect.
I noticed this too. Like in commercials, they went from being really normal and mundane to mimicking and trying to out weird/funny each other because of the success of Super Bowl ads and then race mixing and idealistic brown families that don't actually exist were wedged in them all everywhere along with gays and PRIDE and all sorts of shit.
>feels
gtfo with this non-political faggot crap
Does it get better though? Are the 20's supposed to be like this?
Games are full of SJW propaganda, Movies are all Capeshit, or reboots of reboots, and Music is composed by mumbling niggers and autistic EDM DJ's.
this...uncharted 4 had 2 grown men unable to take on a tiny female, music is lil pump shit etc
Ay. 20s are rocky, but the best times. Don't party TOO hard, and you will be fine. Try to create a savings account. Don't fall for employer tricks and end up in a job you hate. You have the luxury of telling bosses to fuck off; but work hard for the bosses that treat you right. You can make it, we all can.
Definitely, I talk about this all the time.
I have been playing in metal bands since 2007. It was fascinating seeing how music and people changed from 2007-2013
From 2007-2011, the entire music community was pretty cool. The people were cool, upbeat, mostly white, not implicitly "liberal", just cool guys playing music.
Around 2013, it's like there was an SJW coup. Suddenly the entire music scene was taken over by SJWism, people who were making nigger jokes and jokingly calling people "faggots" were now policing everybody to make sure nobody said anything offensive
Absolutely bizarre, it was like a mental virus. Things became very awkward and uncomfortable, like you were just walking on egg-shells all the time around everybody.
Also, in 2011 I used to work in this beautiful mall as an assistant manager in the Chicago-area. There used to be all of these beautiful white women walking around in these stylish jackets going shopping, you'd banter and flirt with them a little bit, I even took some out on dates.
But around 2013 there was this really weird shift, and it happened FAST. Suddenly you didn't really see many beautiful women walking around, kind of a lot of weird people. Then you started seeing a lot of brown people, like big hordes of them all traveling in packs.
All of the good looking white women I knew told me they were moving. Many of the white people I knew started moving all over the place, and suddenly the mall I worked at turned into this giant brown shit-horde carnival with smelly weirdos walking around. Then we actually had a giant gang-fight in a store out of no-where (they were white oddly enough).
Fucking bizarre. I quit that job and went back to college, which also suddenly had a million non-whites there. Like I couldn't even hardly find a white male anywhere.
It was like there was this bizarre non-white SJW and LGBT takeover of every corner of culture. Fucking bizarre
yeah im putting away a good chunk of money for retiring early...my only question is will that carefree happinesss I had when I was a teen return in my 30's? Seems like everyones too busy with relationships and shit these days
Also yes, and yes.
No. It won't. Instead, it will be replaced with new happiness, if you will. Not to be a dick, but do the toys you played with as an eight year old entertain and please you now? And no, I don't mean a SNES.
>gamings shit...movies are shit...music is shit.
you grew up, dipshit
This is what I'm trying to tell people. Stop sucking the soitendo cock.
Yes very much, I felt it a lot more in Summer 2014 here in Burger Land. Mike Brown Ferguson Riots 2014
I agree. Anyone know "what" exactly it was that changed though?
I mean, the downturn really kicked off with 9/11 but it seems like things weren't complete shit until around the end of 2011. It's like there was a massive shift and it happened fast. It wasn't so much of a slow progression from 2001 to 2011, it's more or less like things were noticeably different after 9/11 but not to an extreme extent and then once 2011 passed it all went to hell .
>pic mildly related
How many of these threads are you gonna make a day? Gtfo
I know what you mean, now i gotta drive out like thirty minutes out of chicago just to go to a mall without hordes of niggers and spics, i used to go to garfield ridge or ford city but now its just infested
well the world did end in 2012 so....
Fellow metal player here, very true what you say i can’t even hang around “Metal heads” anymore based my whole life off music but the last at least 10years music has turned to absolute shit metal included. Used to be able to joke about anything racist jokes faggot jokes whatever now they all pussies compare a Phil from panthers or James from and justice or black album era or lemmy or Ozzy all un PC say what they thought tuff cunts now it’s just a bunch of crying freaks, point of the story i know something changed because I loved the life and music but now no more bands for me do not want to go to gigs or even hang around the pussy fagots anymore no fun, instead of breaking shit and destroying places in chaos they all stand there with their phones waiting for someone to say something “wrong”so they can look down on them fucking lame I hate that it happened I miss it but I can’t go there while it’s like this they are not my brothers no more also why is there a girl in every metal band now sorry but gay
*pantera
Shit, my band gets "banned from places" while fans ensure we play there anyway next month. Don't pussy out and stand for your beliefs. If your music is good, it will stand on its own merit.
Me too
It's been shit for many, many years before this period. This is the time you came of age to discover it.
(((they))) started to understand the internet.
it was a quirky, community internet created by individuals.
now a few large sites run everything. and they're allready starting to censor the living shit out of it.
I guess it just wore me down I enjoyed hanging with the people as much as playing but I can’t be bothered with the shit the ideas aren’t extreme enough now the people are sheep, hope your band keeps putting a thorn in their sides though
>born in 91
>people were bad and no one cared
>people were good and no one cared
>9/11 happens
>everyone got really serious about shit
>we lost most of our freedoms
>everything get more rotten
>everyone is waring with each other
>everyone knows that were not free to say a shit load of things
>people all start making up things you cant say
>everyone knows theres no freedom on the internet and on the streets (cameras)
>everyone knows were being watched and marketed to constanty because of 9/11
no one wants to be survelled or wants to fight with people.
>someone has a bad day and now everyone is telling on everyone for everything all the time
>everyone is a coward
>its all beacuse 9/11
>there have been wars in the past, but this felt different and it feels like its never going to end and theres no where you can go to not feel it.
>family is the only real thing anyone has now
>even that is starting to deminish
>jesus please save us,this sucks too bad
>evil is good and, good is evil, sweet is bitter and bitter is sweet up is down and down is up.
I've theorized it was somewhere in 2010-2011. The whole anti-bullying movement was really kicking off along with the near complete saturation of the social networks and their peak use.
Every outgroup was looking for its piece of the pie. And as soon as one rank and file SJW shit lord gets in they hold the door open for more of their own to get enough control to shit the bed for everyone.
Well, at least we had dodge ball. That shit was cash.
Also the saturation of smart phones make it so you can't get away from it. Who needs big brother when there's always a rat around to film, edit and post someone breaking the latest update of the PC code.
The new shift was definitely 2001. I'd argue it began in 2000 (the symbolism of the year cementing it as the year of implementation of...whatever this is) but the shift was noticeable in 2001,accelerated by certain events. Shit seems to have hit freefall in 2007 and I noticed major acceleration in 2011, as you say.
there were some highlights for sure and it was great to be alive and growing up during that time for sure, most of us were fucking lucky and had good friends but looking back it was slowly getting worse and we all sort of just let it
The shift manifested itself after 9/11, but officially took effect in 2007.
No. Literally just said it was shit. All I wanna do is listen to old Oasis albums and play retro games.
Could it possibly be the recession?
its like people were able to be people, people had to learn how to deal with putting up with shit, we all learned to deal with people and their own individual thing, no one could make some one do things because of how some one felt. that's BS. we all knew how to get along better
Well, let's not be so quick to give up. We are now in the operational age range to do something about it. Don't be a defeatist.
we live in 9/11's shadow and it blows and people are rotten
I agree, I'm also kind of stuck in a rut so take what I say with a grain of salt
memetics.ai
go there and meme it up
that's a good attitude to have in these days, prolly the best
9/11. Shit was easy then. A lot of distrust of govt. No Muslims.... Like at all. Never even heard of Muslims in my life before 9-11, just some shit in school books. No identity politics, good music, good movies, kids played outside. People were generally normal.
this..
It is all about perspective. The left no longer controlling the youth movement. Gen z is redpilled and based. The world is ours now
21 here and I noticed the shift around that time too although much younger
There is 2 episodes on south part about this. I can't remember the ep/series number but it's about everything being shit.
You should watch it.
Global banking meltdown. Identity Politics born out of the shysters deploying professional spin doctors, social engineers and culture-smashers whose job was to pit all the goyim against one another and make them all forget the one common enemy of every man, woman and whateverthefuckpronoun are the Rothschilds and the luciferian global banking system which is built on lies, deceit and black market money (seriously the drug and human traficking cartels saved the banking sector when it was all """accidentally""" collapsing thanks to their insatiable, and also criminal, greedy scams)
I don't play video games. It depends on what you watch. It depends on what you listen to.
I guess you're around 25 years old.
it might be because I'm tired and it's 2:22 am here, but that fucking pic is creeping me out
only a young person, or a hermit crab would say this
The assburger episode?
buckle up user, it's only going to get worse
tbqh nothing has been the same since 9/11
I don't care about the actual event, but what people did and still do in its name is utterly abhorrent.
i agree, i felt a shift in 2011 and have not felt the same since. feels like life is spinning aimlessly, especially recently and evil shit is happening in the shadows. either that or life is gonna kill me with mundaness
I doubt that
>2009-2011
The internet was better back then because social media hadn't entirely consumed everyone's lives yet, meaning that it was a much more interesting place where anime-collecting NEETs were considered normalfags.
As for gaming, I would say that it's actually better now because we have a wider variety of games. We're living in a golden age where indie developers can create an awesome experience using only a laptop and some good old perseverance. There is something for everybody in today's gaming market, you just have to know where to look.
Dec 21st 2012, the world ended.
Obama sucked ass, especially for people who were willing to give him a fair shot, and there are stubborn people who still like him just because he was black, now trump is the new Obama and is doing work and shit heads hate him.
>people call bitter sweet and, sweet bitter
>everything is twisted
games are prolly the ONLY thing that's gotten better tbqh as well
I'm fucking fastened in tight brother, lets do it!
nasty shit that was. immediately flip channel if seen dont let it taint your psyche
My attitude is if people are going to decide to do this en masse I have no obligation to society.
9/11 PTSD finally set in to the American populace. Several years of denial beforehand.
Maybe the Mayans were right, the world we once knew and loved ended in 2012, and now we have this world to deal with
Gaming kind of sucks nowadays dude, you can't even play online on console without paying $60 a year, not to mention single player games are getting stale as fuck, hell the only PS4 game I really do care about is Kingdom Hearts 3.
you guys are so fucking dense. It goes like this
Almost all religions are based on some degree on the same base religion which is true. So when the mayans were charting shit long ago and made the end around now, that was a very careful calculation. They had absolutely no idea what it meant, some picked up on some sentiment of 'end of the world' However looking back now, it's pretty obvious desu. It was the end of the world, the end of the western world (or more specifically the beginning of exponentially accelerating decline). The end of the world as it is currently known.
existence will literally never stop, but instead will transform infinitely. In the full model of existence, while infinitely complex, it can be described in finite terms same way that the Mandlebrot set can be. However, within that exists time, and when you're within time, there is no end, you basically ARE the evaluation of the equation. (The equation generates everything btw, literally everything, this entire universe is a tiny spec of infinitesimally small dust in an infinite space of complexity)
to do what is masse?
normalfags got onto the internet and it changed the way they socialized
Tfw 2012 was a subconscious psyop to make populations more depressed
Rise of social media, great recession, Obama's election, release of modern smartphones all in 2007-2008
These all had a profound affect and ended the era of uneasy patriotism that reigned from 9/11 through 2006 which came after the era of optimism and the internet's birth between the fall of Berlin wall in Novemeber of 1989 and 9/11
What year did most high schools get cameras in halls? My old high school got then in 2009 many new rules were implemented then.
Although to further add, I feel as though 9/11 was stage 1 of the shift, 2006-2007 was stage 2, and 2011-12 was stage 3. If my theory is correct, the shift gets worse every 5 or so years. What helps this theory is the fact that I think we also felt a pretty shitty shift in 2016-2017, exactly 5 years after stage 3. Buckle-up for stage 5 in 2021-2022, guys.
Nah, it was after that one. I think its Kyle (blue clothing) starts drinking Jamison whisky and everyone when they talk just literally spew poo from their mouths.
The song video of Anaconda by Nicki Minaj kickstarted a heavy prolonged hypersexualisation campaign that is still ongoing basically. You can look at social media before and after that song and afterward degeneracy about doubled from where it was (which had been fairly high already)
also when Obama got in office and then the half the country became ghetto, (housing buble) then all the good whites and ALLL the blacks were trying hard to believe that giving a black guy chance we will grow stronger no matter what happens and it back fired on everyone and it was a joke that wasn't funny
Which didn't help me any when I finally became more social. Everyone else became introverted sociopaths because of the smart phone.
It might be this one

I'll be ready
No, at least half of Gen Z are turbo faggots.
