I want to propose a Romanian-Hungarian union. The ideea was first proposed by the hungarian prime minister in 1931. The union would follow the Austrian-Hungarian or Swedish-Norwegian model. The Transylvanian bone of contention would be resolved through, complete decentralization and a perfect administrative autonomy and the successful solving of the minorities issue. The state will revolve around third position policies (predominantly right wing), and it would be an authoritarian one, based on european identity ideeas. The goal of this will be: >to ease the tension between this 2 ethnicies and in the long run between more and more european ethnicies >the growth of the economy >to fight globalization, immigration from non european countriesand and the gypsy problem that haunt this 2 countries and the entire balkans >to stabilize the birthrate >lead the population on a more moral path and unite it against externat threats
Now, people have to realize that it is not 1900 anymore, and the europeans are not gonna be the global leader anymore, the non europeans are growing at a extremly alarming rate, and will soon take Europe over for good. We cannot afford to fight between us anymore, nations with populations of 4, 5, 10, 20 milion people will not have a significance at all in the years to come, they already do not have any.

Hungarian diaspora user here. I indeed harbour irredentist ideas especially what happened after the treaty of Trianon. (Yes, I know. Bringing this up again.) And also about what had happened during the years of the first People's Republic of Bela Kun. (Romanians invaded up to the Tisza.) However, after studying Romanian history and living in an environment where Romanian diaspora is predominant, I do support this idea. Provided if the framework and context of the Garda de Fier and Horthy's government/Nyilaskeresztespárt are implemented. I don't think it is an absolutely worthless idea. It kind of makes sense to finally settle our differences, and start building ourselves a future together. This would be especially beneficial if we could get Croatia and maybe Austria in on this. I'm imagining a sort of "mini-EU", but without the utter obliteration of the cultures that make up this union. Quite the opposite, it would be possible to elevate and improve on them respectively. Economically, however some struggles surface. Since both Romania and Hungary are very agrarian and rely on it's fertile soil. There's also the question of financial distribution. Some regions will always lag behind in either countries, and they will require subsidiaries to work. On the other hand, if we were to decide to draw closer to the east, we could be an alternative to Russia in getting it's export into the Mediterranean, as opposed to going through Turkey. For the gypsy question I suggest ethnic cleansing. We can't send them back to India, and they definitely can't be integrated. That, or set up an organisation that puts these people to work on modest wages, and forcibly organizer them into colonies. Build cities out of nowhere just for them, and let them be their own economic and cultural bubble.
