Get your kids into playing sports, or art, or music, or any other kind of actual hobby that isn't just mindless media consumption at a young age.

Since the real world is too hard and scary for them they reject it and retreat into fantasy. Why do you think superhero movies are so popular? They have no one to look up so they cling to the fictional. They admire anything and anyone who seems to take on the world and its evils and win, because they can't do it in reality.
Americas Men, and everybody else, is in a point of depression. They are retreating into movies and books and art and anything that let's them forget the terribleness of the world. Sure we've always done that but we always managed to buck up and take care of the problems and get over our fear. Thing is, this time we won't be able to. The evil is too big and immovable. We can't win this time. War won't help, electing an outsider to the White House won't fix it, and a culture War victory can't do it.
So, all that's left is to let anyone who seems capable of facing reality make all the decisions. Of course that only leads to tyranny and the return of the primitive. Well be nothing but jungle tribes before we realize it

I doubt that. What I know from many people that I have met is that playing video games too much makes your brain used to instant gratification and it affects your capacity of concentration. People that play too much video games then have problems studying or making any other activity that requires effort and constancy.
