Any web browser is going to be insecure. You are better off using Linux or BSD as a base and creating something with a high level of compartmentization. Let the applications spy but don't give them access to anything they want. This is already a strategy that some systems take. You simply shouldn't be exposing anything you don't want exposed. And FYI, your hardware is compromised so it doesn't matter if you have a secure OS anyway.
