Told you faggots, they are pulling the plug

Because economy vehicles save the consumer money, easier to work on, high fuel mileage, more vehicles on the road for longer, more traffic. Elites don't like this.

Elites don't care desu. They care about playing dominoes on cheese and/or pasta. That is it. Everything else is a means to that end. Understand this and the world is simple.

You told us random LEAF!! We shouldve all listened to you! BRB Im going to go whip myself for every doubting you

You're saying they're forcing trucks on us?

So this it's the power of capitalism.

Attached: Henry-Ford-Wallpaper-1600x901.jpg (1600x901, 227K)

Nope, the elites want cars that only yuppies can afford the payments on, guzzle gas, and are afraid to work on. This means fewer people on the road, everyone else on transit, so the elites can zip around town on the public roads as if they are private.

and everyone takes their gas guzzler to the stealership for repair.

Sorry didn't see you were a Leaf. Elite Leaf culture could be different.

they're pulling the plug because ford sedans/compacts fucking suck
the only thing ford has ever made well are trucks and their mustang, and they know it, and consumers know it, which is why people just don't want the pieces of shit

i don't know.
the compact cars are inexpensive, high fuel mileage, reliable, easy as fuck to work on, no need to take them to the shop, anyone can afford one, low insurance, the dealership loses, the roads get clogged, oil companies lose. the elites don't like this, it's power to the poor man.

> yes consumer, your manhood is in jeopardy if you do not buy the latest $50k hunk of fiberglass and steel.

Who else /toyota/ master race?

You don't go to Kia to buy a solid pickup truck, you don't go to Nissan to buy tough SUV, and you don't go to Ford to buy a cheap efficiency sedan. Why Ford wasted so many decades on disastrous sedans like the Escort and the Taurus is beyond me.

american dicklets don't like to drive small cars

yeah but ford fucking sucks at making them

me bro, 96 Avalon at 192k, runs solid as fuck and have been told "it's got plenty of life left" a bunch

They're pulling out because car sales < truck/SUV sales for the past decade and a half, with no signs of changing any time soon. The SUV market is retarded now and Ford has six fucking SUVs. SIX. That's not counting all the different packages for the SUVs, that's just the number of different models. It's crazy. They only sell two trucks (F-150 and Super Max), though they're bringing back the Ranger (and possibly the Bronco?) because they're killing off their underperforming sedans/compacts.

It has nothing to do with quality, people still buy Ford cars (I see a lot of Fusions/Focuses and even Tauruses where I live, maybe only outnumbered by the amount of Hyundais that I see; granted, I live within 30 mins of the Ford Oakville plant).

>I see a lot of Fusions/Focuses and even Tauruses where I live, maybe only outnumbered by the amount of Hyundais that I see; granted, I live within 30 mins of the Ford Oakville plant

No, they aren't. The scars on my hands are proofs.
>high fuel mileage,
This one is true.
>more vehicles on the road for longer, more traffic.
If driving is more expensive there will be fewer cars on the road.
>Elites don't like this
Eltes passed laws forcing manfacturers to produce "economy cars" for which there is no demand.

How about they don't make cars that are total shitboxes and uninspired in looks to boot?

Well now for the same price you can get the all new Ecosport with less room, less efficiency and more expensive maintenance.

>/toyota/ master race
1998 Camry V6, all original paint, garage kept most of its life 135k miles

Ford will regret this decision when gas prices go back up

I'll stick with my SE hatch which hasn't caused me any troubles and I can break 100 mph for fun when the roads are open. Signed a sales contract without Jewish trickery to get it too.

Not in the US. The big three destroyed out public transportation for a reason. They could make a pickup that gets 45 miles to the gallon and lasts twice as long with just oil changes, but they won't because everything has a wear out date where you have to buy a new one.

But it doesn't have AWD how will you survive when it rains or snows? It's so low to the ground too, how will you see? Sounds dangerous.

I was scrolling down looking for this comment. You have clearly thought ahead. Without any fuekl efficient cars Ford will likely be purchased by another automaker as a result of a future downturn in Truck/SUV sales. Bur right now they are on fire with their F-150 and E named SUVs

This is one of the reasons why GM went bankrupt in 2009.
>1999
>Fuel Prices relatively cheap
>Entire lineup is M1 Abram Tanks and a few weak ass 4 Cylinder Compacts that wouldn't make it 100,000 miles
>2002-2007
>Gas prices nearly triple
>Kill Camaro because havent updated body style in a decade and wonder why nobody is buying
>Rack up debt
>Still pumping out Tanks and Hummer H3's at a loss
>16 mpg
>Lel why is nobody buying our cars?
>Rack up more debt
>2008
>Banks want their fucking money

Ford only survived then whereas GM and Chrysler failed because they were rather smart with their money and had a shit ton of cash reserves. Fast forward to today and they are hemorrhaging money just as their competitors were/are.
tl;dr You're absolutely right.

Attached: what-you-need-to-know-about-the-gm-bankruptcy-photo-282661-s-original.jpg (900x550, 33K)

Or killing production of a product that is not selling is good business, you dolt. You don't know anything about the auto industry. The govt actually provides HUGE incentives to produce electric vehicles and is why GM is doing so. Ironically, they are focusing on it primarily to get the govt off their back so, now get this, they can manufacture as many trucks and SUVs as they want because that is what the public still wants. Buying trends will change by 2025 - 2030. ((they)) are literally pulling to convince Americans NOT to buy large gas vehicles.

I have a Focus, made right here in Michigan. I got it up to 120 mph and it was smooth as silk.
They are making a profit on them, just not enough to satisfy Wall Street kikes that want 10% on their investments.

Small cars are for little girls and poor people.

Toyota is over-rated garbage

cars are a simple machine, wish they would just make simple cars with easily replacable parts and easy to work on, too many stupid regulations to make the cars complicated for no reason.
who will come out with the simple car? they will dominate the market forever.

What are they pulling the plug on?

What are some Jow Forums approved vehicles?

I kinda wanna get a 7.3l diesel as my daily and a landcruiser as my off road vehicle.

Thoughts?

A station wagon with lots of room is the only approved vehicle. Everything else is for fags and degenerates. If you aren't manly enough that you require a BIG TRUCK to compensate, you shouldn't bother.

Never seen a guy with a small dick drive a station wagon, I'll put it that way.

yeah but i kinda need to tow shit occasionally sweetie ;)

>sales have increased since the bailout on trucks and suvs
>sales on all cars but the focus and mustang have fallen in the same period
Let's keep manufacturing things that don't sell and decrease making things that do!
People go to ford to buy mustangs, SUV and trucks. Cars do sell but people don't go to Ford any more for cars, they go to foreign brands for cars, however they don't go to foreign for Trucks and SUVs. Don't be surprised if they discontinue the focus in a few years.

urea-less diesel is based, I would have bought another VW diesel in a heartbeat if they hadn't been caught cheating (((emissions tests))) and discontinued them, my 09 jetta was fuckin lolz
I know a guy from my old job who rides around in a land cruiser he snorkeled himself, it's super comfy but he needs to clear up a lot of the windows
consider a subaru as your daily if you don't need an open bed and can settle for 3.6

A 2018 Kia Sportage can tow 2000 pounds. Volkswagen Atlas tows 5000.
faggot
lmao oh you!!!!!!!

>Looking at station wagon dicks
Nigga you gay

>every other vehicle in my state is a truck
sure

>trucklets

I bought a 2013 Nissan Leaf 6 months ago for $6500.

It costs $1.53 to fully charge it from empty, and it goes 85 miles on that $1.53 of electricity (Assuming I actually pay to charge it.) With current gas prices around $2.60~ish, that means I get around 149 MPG, if you are comparing cost per mile to gasoline alone. But with an EV, there are no oil changes, no belt changes, no coolant changes, no filter changes, no spark plugs to change, no transmissions to service, no o2 sensors or cats to replace, etc. This care is practically free to drive. I literally only charge it, wash it, and put tires on it. The brakes last longer than the car because 99% of the braking is done by regenerative braking. There are several free charging stations around where I live, so I get a lot of free to me charging as well.

I have a gas burner for long trips still. When the battery in this thing finally is too weak to take me through my daily routine, I will buy another used EV that gets more range, for dirt cheap.

And when gas goes back up, I will have a car that is gaining value.

mustangs are gay good choice for ford to discontinue them. theyre little gaymobiles

mustangs are only driven by women at this point

you know the mustang is the single non-truck that ford isn't discontinuing, right?
you're not wrong, vettes are infinitely superior, but you're wrong, ford isn't killing the mustang

>lolololol you bought a domestic truck that needs a brake job, sensor replaced, tune-up, and a new alternator with 200k miles you dumb fuck
>370k miles later still going
>friends foreign cuckmobiles already breaking down
w e w l a d

Do you have a source for Ford discontinuing anything at all?

>king Nigger sets insane 54 mile per gallon regulation for cars

> Cant be done unless we switch to eurocuck cars and every car maker cheats on the tests

> Hey SUVs are exempt from this because they class as 'light trucks'

>Trump tries to roll this bullshit all back and the libcunts REEEEE over how he's killing the planet

Hmmm, I wonder why Ford are doing this

Shit man, I want less people on the road too.

DIsagree, modern behicles are less reliable than old ones, Ford is just switching marketing strategy to the crossover market which is just the biggest one and Ford sedans kinda suck so yeah that's why they're doing it and it's not a bad move if you ask me. Ford cars do hold their own pretty well in terms of value and affordability for functionality, and they are comparatively cheaper to maintain esp if you do the work yourself.

I am a mechanic

thedrive.com/news/20415/ford-sedans-are-dead-in-the-u-s
>Ford is committing mass genocide on the current car lineup in its home market with the Mustang being the only survivor.

i'd rather have the payload capacity and towing capacity and not need it, than need it and not have it.

also they're safe as fuck when it comes to crashes and they can carry like 6 people.

truck master race brah.

The power of capitalism is that if people want cheaper more efficient cars, then someone, somewhere will be providing them. Wherever there is a demand, there will be a supply

>buying a ford sedan
No one does this anyway

especially unintelligent women do, actually
I know one, her car is a piece of shit that she smokes in and never cleans

It’s just because they make so much more money on the trucks. Corporate fleet purchases ignore item costs (for the most part), so they upcharge on them. Damn shame too, the last few years of Fusions have been really nice cars.

they should it's a terrible mememobile

I demand a device that tracks down Jews and ships them to Israel

fusions have been bloated land ships without the smooth ride you'd expect from a land ship and with a massive disgusting front panel that takes up what room anyone with moderately sized knees would need

it is interesting though user...Ford's had the police and fleet market locked in for a long time after Chevy killed the b-body platform. Dodge came in w Charger, most cops are running those and that's an old platform as it is. Notice she and shift supervisor all get the SUV? Also, Ford was the one that never took bailout money. Feds get $60k plus outfitted Tahoes and burbans...interesting though- it's like a caste system w what even the cops get

Attached: 2a7xng.jpg (188x233, 19K)

Even these so call elites are financing their cars to the hilt. I read something like a 90 month contract or something.

>discontinue the Ford focus
Don’t they sell big in EU though? And also a copy under a different name (like how the GMC Canyon and Chevy Colorado are identical)?

Yeah because I need a truck to haul equipment to make money I'm gay
>tfw could have bought an F-250 but F-150 was sufficient because I'm in industrial maintenance/parts sales and not landscaping/concrete/etc
Enjoy your faggin wagon though

most cops in my area either use a ford or chevrolet SUV, even state troopers and county sheriffs

Bahahaha trying to haul a ton with a Sportage because they said you could
>good luck maintaining the speed limit on anything that isn't downhill
And I wouldn't be caught dead driving another German car, I made that mistake in high school and learned from it almost instantly

They limit the power on the newer ones with the Ecoboost versus the models that go into the truck/explorer sport/taurus sho
Other than that I like the flex, it's a good looking car (especially with some of the appearance packages they offer) but I still need a truck for work
