I grew up in this area, I absolutely fucking hate it. It's full of kikes, but only in NW and out to Bethesda/Rockville/Silver Spring out in MD. The district itself is full of black people. Everyone I know or meet is a blue pilled social justice warrior faggot. The entire district has been democrat dominated for 100 years and they still find ways to paint republicans as the guys who will somehow make the festering shitholes in NE and SE into something better. The holohoax museum is a disgusting pile of shit and it makes me angry every time I drive in on 14th street or have the great misfortune of using the L'Enfant metro stop. Speaking of the metro, it's a gigantic piece of shit too. You don't know if you're going to be trapped in an underground fire and die, or simply have the piece of shit single tracking non stop. Then tourists flood this area starting a month ago to look at cherry blossoms or whatever the fuck else. They clog up the streets near the Pentagon in Crystal City where their shitty tour buses load up, or they clog up the escalators to the fucking metro because they don't understand the concept of walking on the left and standing to the right. The traffic is a hellish nightmare and I regularly spend an hour in the morning driving 8 miles to one of my offices. My house is a 1955 cookie cutter outside of Alexandria that cost $425,000 and is probably worth $525,000 at this point. It's a swamp with shitty weather and few redeemable qualities.

I stayed in Alexandria once in a nice area, but the problem was section 8 housing full of blacks was right around the corner next to all the gentrified shit. Ruined the whole trip desu, I thought Alexandria was nicer.

Annandale is good for one thing. The Honeypig has shitty chink food when I'm drunk at 2AM, and New York Pizza Factory has shitty pizza when I'm drunk at 2AM. That's about it. That whole gookville stretch on Little River is a fuckin' armpit, same with everything from Crestwood down in Springfield off Backlick.

Nope, there is no escaping it. Buy a 500k condo down there or in Ballston and end up having a neighbor on food stamps mug you in the lobby late at night. This area is fucking bizarre.

Funny thing is, I remember Annandale very well before the dog-eaters came. Redneck biker bars, military surplus, gun stores. Culturally speaking, it was miles from where it is now.

Only half decent redneck bars still around are probably Kilroy's down in Ravensworth and all the way up at JV's in Falls Church. The rest of it is shit as you said. I mean, there are some decent places, everyone goes ape shit for Silverado up there, it's nice like all of those "Great American Restaurant" restaurants but there isn't enough that distinguishes it from Mike's, Carlyle, Ozzie's, Coastal Flats, Sweetwater, etc. its like if Applebees actually served good food and had nice buildings.
