It's a bitter pill to swallow, but we do not have nearly the same amount of organization. For them it's a simple "we need 300 people in that place" and they'll be there. We on the other hand always work on a "hopefully enough of us show up" basis.
Now I'm not advocating building a similar violent organization. That would be bad optics right now. I am advocating building an organization with functioning communications structure, though. That can be turned into a violent organization easily enough once this war turns hot But if we continue to be unorganized we will be defeated in detail. Because then nobody will know to defend their neighbours if the man comes for them.

We instead have to wait and sit this through ... civil order will collapse further, control will slip further from the state's fingers which are only good for being stuck in our wallets. One that is likely to be on our side rather than the state's if and when that happens.

Like that I'd have a practical way and reason to learn, what do you think? Sure, why not? In the spirit of infrastructure independence you should do that on a local machine and/or have an automated mechanism for local backups. Just in case.
Also, ask yourself whether you could live with your notes becoming public due to somebody compromising your wiki. Personally, I rent a VPS for all sorts of things (email, IRC, web server) but, I'd never trust this machine with anything important (if I put important stuff on there I keep a local backup) and/or secret (That sort of thing never goes on there. Period.).
