There's like two-three top-notch "browser engines" that all browser are build upon. Webkit for Chrome and Apple's browser, another one for Firefox.

Gnome's project has its own shitty browser, so does KDE's and there are others. The downside is modern browsers have become very complex and enthusiasts can't keep up on anything more than basic functionality.

I currently use Opera and Brave browser, with Chrome as a backup for when shit don't work in those. Brave is the more secure browser, but it's also less stable. Opera is pretty good and even has some plug-ins. I miss Firefox, though.

I use Chrome. Jewgle yeah, but adblock works really well, and I can switch on incognito mode for things like Jow Forums to keep the NSA from getting on my case.

I use Firefox 42.0 with NoScript and Adblock Plus for my main browising. For questionable sites that I want to use I open Opera in a sandbox. For internet searches I use Tor in oder to evade data tracking.

I use chrome for most work related things since I have an Android phone and everything syncs nicely, in addition to the fact chrome is the only one compatible with our work programs other than internet explorer. I used opera when I want to porn or do something semi private. I don't do anything to require more security than that.
