Millennials

What's going to happen when the boomers finally retire and there is not enough experienced people to fill those positions?

Attached: t.boomer.png (493x199, 18K)

>be nurse
>inject boomers with air

The collapse of Weimar America is going to be the biggest and funniest wake up call these leftists are gonna get

Implying you won't be flooded with Chinese, Indian, and """European""" """phds""" with """"over 15 years of experience""""

of course. No one who is $100k in debt from college should expect to work entry level positions. Me personally, I have no choice but to take what I can get since I am a high school dropout and too poor/old for school.

>When you're old and your nurse is Latino, that is how you will go.

>Oh no the millennials have wisened up to our schtick
>We could raise wages for entry level positions
>Or we can can import third world laborers and have them work for a fraction of the cost

Hmmmmmmmm. Fuck boomers.

oh look another thread where NEETs circle jerk to justify their pathetic existence. mods, do your job SAGE

Those millennials who studied useful skills and built a strong work history will make a killing. There's going to be a lot of wealth disparity among millennials because so many are behind on skill development.

The problem was that many college programs don't convey skills that lead to better than entry level positions. The government subsidization of student loans fucked the whole thing up. There was no market mechanism to ensure kids didn't get 100k loans to study art or whatever. Lenders acting rationally wouldn't underwrite something like that but we created massive third party payor problems.

The students debt load does not matter to the employer. Gtfo with that Marxist noise. The employer must decide whether to pay what a position is worth in the market. If the cost is too high to justify, i.e. not profitable, the employer doesn't hire the position. Employer has no reason to pay more because some millennial has loads of debt. If an activity is not expected to be profitable, it does not take place.

apoligies mr dubbledubbles. It was worded badly. I didn't mean any Marxist connotations. I wish the higher ed system would be reworked so I could possibly go to community college in this lifetime and not be expected to pay $10k a year.

>tfw stuck at entry level because nobody wants to retire and they just hired a nigger into the middle position fresh out of grad school while I have already been working there for 4 years and already learned the entire system and he has to be trained from the first day

>tfw thinking about getting into trades but then I will just be that one 28 year old apprentice who already has a masters in architectural preservation and recording

Attached: 1518591588738.png (480x406, 55K)

90% of the worthless jobs will disappear, recession, war, then probably some good times after.

Our government will just import more niggers and then force us to pay for their training. That was the plan all along.

>What's going to happen when the boomers finally retire and there is not enough experienced people to fill those positions?

maybe they will stick their brains in jars or robot bodies to be perpetual slaves robbed of free will, like the necrontyr.

>nobody wants to start entry level anymore
because every fucking job needs 3+ years of experience as companies are not willing to hire and train new personnel anymore. another clueless boomer faggot

>Go to school for chemistry
>Only job available is entry level lab assistant
>Can't get a better job because you were only a lab assistant
>Can't get promoted at work because boomers won't retire
>$13 an hour starting
>80k in debt

I don't see a good path to a decent job unless you made it to an ivy league school.

also this.

>spend 4+ years getting a degree
>ton of student debt
>lost time getting degree
>>"Hi there Mr. Boomer and Mrs. Hooked Nose! Yeah, entry-level sounds fair!"
Fuck off. Fuck right off with that. Further education in a STEM field is an improvement to your professional career, not a means of getting on the first fucking stepping of a job. All improvements to your professional career is there to help push you for a higher paying job at a more senior level.

>muh higher minimum wage
Get out of here you liberal.

Wages have been stagnant as shit and you don't have to be a liberal to see it.

>What's going to happen when the boomers finally retire and there is not enough experienced people to fill those positions?

Don’t worry, us Jews will assuredly send you millions more Muslim men to fill those vacancies. :^)

At entry level, maybe. You shouldn't be at entry level at a career level, unless you're a waitress.

>You shouldn't be at entry level at a career level
You're terribly unaware of the current job market aren't you?

And thats all good an well from the employers side, but if the prospective employee feels compensation is inadequate to cover his debts, it is only reaponsible to decline the position and employers shouldnt bitch and moan about it. If they want more people applying for the position, they should offer more compensation.

It's a literal buyer's market for subcontractors right now, and businesses across the country are putting out radio spots that advertise to literally train you if you stay on board. You're probably a faggot NEET who is using this as an excuse not to get a job.

rofl you're retarded

believe me, no one where I'm from wants to train me without having me fork over a years wage first. you have any links or stats on all these great jobs and careers?

How about you go get a job you degenerate? I drive 10 minutes without seeing help wanted, cnc machinist needed willing to train, while adverts are on the radio. Maybe if you'd put some work into actually getting a job instead of demanding some user provide proofs to justify your NEETness, then you'd have a more fulfilling life.

Bitching about entry level mean wages while not having a job is like complaining about the fabricated steel alloy price in the marketplace when you only pick up beer cans for pennies from trashcans. The economy is booming, we are clearly out of the recession.

>where I'm from
Than move you dense fucker. There are plenty of jobs where I am and plenty of affordable houses. Instead you dumb fucks live in the most competitive job market and complain you can't get a foot in the door.
If you weren't such shit you could probably compete in the job market, but it would take effort.

Sadly this desu.

>Than move you dense fucker.
I like when clueless "fuck you I got mine" anti-whites on Jow Forums post this meme advice. You're talking to someone who ostensibly doesn't have a job, which means they probably don't have any money (and probably dont even have a car).

How do they "just fucking move cities" if they already don't have a car or money? I'm genuinely interested in your solution to this dilemma provided you don't reply to me with some kneejerk emotional reaction.

Public phones, internet, and a bus ticket in your retarded false dichotomy scenario. Or, you know, getting a shit job like a line cook until you can afford it?

Like, literally, just get any job. Warehouses and landscapers are always hiring, and start at $12.50/hr.

>Have a job, not in what I went to school for.
>Get paid ok, saving money.
>Have looked into jobs like these, only pay 14-15 an hour with no benefits.

The entire point of college is to give you the skills so you don't have to do these entry level jobs.

>$12.50/hr
I don't know of any place where this is a livable wage. I make a little under $30 an hour and things are still tight.

millenials really are a bunch of entitled fags
because some troll brags about walking out of his engineering degree to a 300K starting, you feel entitled to the same thing for your social media manager fake job after getting your liberal arts degree
deluded

>Public phones, internet, and a bus ticket in your retarded false dichotomy scenario
It's not a "retarded false dichotomy", you glow-in-the-dark anti-white nigger.

Bus tickets still cost money. So do public phones.

>entry level position
>requires 3-5 years experience

Attached: 1421285550580.jpg (260x260, 28K)

Anywhere that isn't a downtown metropolitain area or liberal tax hell? Of course with those the pay scales up with cost of living. Either way, you dumb liberal, nobody is talking about entry jobs deserving livable wages.

>Mooom it's not my fault that I can't get a job, it's just the anti-whites and the economy and, and, anything else I can pull out of my ass to justify myself being a literal nigger who leaches off the system
>btw I'm above moving boxes in a warehouse, or being a short order cook, or anything other job that any jamoke can do to afford to live
fucking pathetic

Entry-level doesn't pay enough to cover college debt. Raise wages to match inflation, then you can complain

This already ist happening but will accelerate over the next decade. Workers 40 and under, not just the millenials, have an entirely different approach towards work and in general seem to lack the inquisitiveness and application of critical thinking that is needed at the top and in management of organizations. Clearly a broad generalization on my part, but the implications of an average decline in work ethic, critical thinking and motivation to do more than what is specifically asked, will be profound mainly because we are part of a global economy and there are others (China in particular) where these trends are the reverse.

We best hope for AI, robotics and things to take up the slack. But wages will continue to remain in the toilet (other resons for this as well) if workers do not strive to perform at a higher level.....and this may not even be possible anymore as this addictive social media shit rewires our brains to seek immediate dopamine hits instead of seeking deep understanding.

>chemistry
Imagine telling a fucking chemist that they have to be a debt slave. You know what to do.

Than I guess you should just do nothing instead . I'm sure something will magically change one day. Poor you, nothing ever goes your way. Maybe some day someone better will save you, but it won't be you. Why even bother looking for work in other places, you probably won't find anything anyways.
Is that better for you?

>But wages will continue to remain in the toilet (other resons for this as well) if workers do not strive to perform at a higher level
worker performance and wage are not related
learn history you retarded mutt. the last 100 years were an exception brought about by violent revolution. all that is happening is it's returning to pre-1900 conditions of literal wage slavery. don't you have a saying about trees of liberty and their methods of watering?

well thats exactly what getting a degree in any field is suppose to do. Now for the people without one that dont want entry level positions are mental.

You perform well, you get promoted. You perform mediocre, you don't. Not rocket science or ideology. Just the reality of the marketplace.

>if workers do not strive to perform at a higher level

lol the absolute state of boomers

Attached: d3975971573b8232bfc8341064376807.jpg (3000x1997, 1.25M)

>But wages will continue to remain in the toilet (other resons for this as well) if workers do not strive to perform at a higher level

Gee

A majority of the population is obese. This literally, yes as in "you think slower", degrades the cognition of most of a nation. All of their life they've been habituated to shitty dietary habits, shitty physical fitness habits, and shitty social propaganda. And yes, the shitty electronic stimuli we get bombarded with everyday.

This isn't a worker driven trend. It's a top-down trend where anyone below the 1% is looked upon as lumpen-garbage. You give people shitty inputs and you'll get shitty outputs. Of course the investment class is too high off their virtue-signaling fumes to consider that this disaster of ages has no single cause you can point to. Let alone the initiative of millions who've realized that modern deals are broken and that most of the deals available...suck.

oh noes! who will ever fill the oh so important positions with the government! who can provide the same amount of economic value as the Boomerfags that were so wonderful at pushing paper around!

WE'RE DOOOOOOOOOOOMED!

>be boomer
>ruin everything
>everyone hates you

Attached: baby-boomers.jpg (620x413, 34K)

Let me describe a deal. You work in this printing factory. It pays "decently". You get a lunch break. And you get a "second" break. You hear "12 hour shifts" and you smile because it's overtime.

12 hours later you realize that the fuckers don't stop until THE LAST MINUTE. There's no half hour disengage time. Your back started hurting two hours ago. But you're not stopping 'till the last minute.

The printing press breaks down ten minutes before the end of your shift. You can finally leave. Not because anyone told you but because the fucking machine is down.

"Some days...I pray for the machine to break down"

A shitty deal right? But there's people who've tolerated the shitty deal for 20+ years! All to make thin margins on advertising mail for grocery stores! The executives probably haven't had anything like a day on the printing floor. And that's what this form of shitty deal benefits.

So that's why the boomers are importing all these rapists?

>WHY DOES NO ONE WANT TO BE A PEON FOR US?
>*fires 2 entry level workers and replaces them with temps*
>WHY DOES NO ONE WANT TO BE A PEON FOR US?????

In my personal experience most small firms run by boomers I have interviewed with tend to operate as a good ol boy's club and expect to pay the same entry level wages they paid in the late 90's and almost willfully refuse to acknowledge that costs of living have exploded making the trade off simply untenable for prospective employees. Had one company owner literally sperg out on me when I balked at his salary offer of 35k after I illustrated with evidence that prevailing wage for similar positions with state governments and large firms were on average 10-15k higher, even in less expensive states. He became even more asspained when I showed him my cost of living calculations showing that on such a wage I would be spending at least 60% of my salary on rent based on regional averages. This was all after how he jerked himself off over how he had recently bought out his partners and the company was doing great. Bizarre how the meme about millennials is that they are shrill emotional snowflakes desu.

Hey moron,

Every single foreign professor in every public and state university has a PHD from a US university.

Your government pays them during masters. Or pays them to return to US medical school, etc.

You're not seriously resolving this under one factor are you?

This

Or the company makes up stupid titles so they feel happy.
I saw someone go from associate talent recruiter to senior account specialist in one year. They stood out because of how out of touch their emails were.
>dear sir with 20years experience
>would you like this entry level job 300 miles away

Jesus fuck I make 20/hr fucking bidding tables in a metro area with a BA what's the fucking point of higher education of research jobs net me way less

Double check
And the third party payor problem shows up again

>thinking college is anything more than entry level training.
If you really thought youd get a one on those drop outs who self taught themselves how to use excel and they have 4 years of experience and 0 debt over you.
You're bad at making life decisions.

ITT kikes, boomer shills, and worker bee slaves

Again, another one just resolving it under one factor.

Is it inconcievable that everyone complaining is not some gender studies grad with pink hair spending $20 on 4 starbucks and avocado on toast every day who expects to have a corner office and 6 figures as a social media manager?

Attached: intergenerationaldivides.png (270x186, 14K)

When boomers retire a few millenials will fill their positions that understand most things can be automated and do not require employees at middle to upper management at all. AI can be programmed to make decisions based on numbers.
The replacements are going to be computers. Most Millenials wanting to climb the ladder are going to realize there is a upper ceiling and that everyone in lower levels will just a pay boost and everyone in top levels will be rich.
You went to college for nothing.

America is going to have a very bad time.

Oh it's gonna be fucking great, and they wonder why we won't give up our firearms. We've seen history.

That guy is half right, but he's also overlooking the fact that even many entry level positions also have years of experience using the skills they need as a prerequisite. And they can absolutely do this, there will always be some dude down on his luck with the skills they need who will be willing to work for 40k a year because he got laid off from his last fickle employer.

What's going to be REALLY fun to watch is all the millennials begin panicking once the trade gap catches up with us and the infrastructure goes to complete hell, and when it costs you thousands of dollars to have someone fix a utility in your house because the demand for trade skills is so high.

Millenial here earning a little over 100k with no college degree. The problem is their parents. They never taught them self-discipline and the benefits of long term rewards through personal development. Their parents crippled their careers before they even began, its sad.
>Inb4 LARP here's a pic of my paystub

Attached: 20180516_110229-1.jpg (1152x789, 493K)

The point of higher education used to be for very smart people to get smarter. Then someone made it a job requirement and now everyone needs one and it became dumbed down and meaningless.

boomers disgust me

Entry level positions pay minimum wage usually, and somehow require two years experience these days. Before entry level positions were given to high school graduates who were working towards a degree to move up in the company. Today there are inflated numbers of college educated people which has diminished the value of a college degree by so much that a college graduate today is worth a high school graduate of the past.

>like the necrontyr
NEEEEEERD

Also reminder that home depot and lowes are in panic mode because millennials don't know how to basic handyman. They even started putting out youtube videos showing you how to use claw hammers and screwdrivers in a desperate attempt to avert the coming uselessness crisis.

I also am millennial that never finished college realizing after first year scholarship it was stupid expensive to pay $50,000 a year for things that seemed that I already learned or can self teach myself.
Started own business in blue collar industry. Now own many businesses and in different industries. Mostly spending my time and money investing.
The people I hire for entry level many have college degrees and want higher positions but I only offer entry level bottom of barrel jobs to any one new and I see who has work ethics , intelligence and loyalty and bring them up. Would never bring someone in from outside that I don't know but has work experience working for someone else or has skills that I don't know about.

The whole reason you go to college is so you don’t have to start at entry level. That’s like me as a med student having to start as a nurse when I graduate

Attached: 2F8A1917-D28A-411A-B56B-05C2B909B597.png (612x491, 98K)

You have zero real world experience fresh out of college, you should be starting at entry level. This is idiocy, I would never hire someone fresh out of school and put them in a position of responsibility.

>What's going to happen when the boomers finally retire and there is not enough experienced people to fill those positions?
corps will need to create their own workers with surrogates, or set up sperm banks stocked with the sperm of intelligent employees and pay people to use it, it ensure they can get intelligent workers in the future.

>Also reminder that home depot and lowes are in panic mode because millennials don't know how to basic handyman.
youtube can teach people anything. I've used it many times to learn how to do something, then went down to home depot to get tools and supplies.

Why is this logic hard to understand ?

Wouldn't be surprised if the next generation of millionaire wave will be all Latinos doing construction work today.

Entry level in an IT company =/= entry level in a no skilled workplace. You still dont come out of college and get straight into middle management.

Regardless, even entry-level college skilled 35-50k/year jobs often times require years of experience already under your belt. I got very lucky out of college and worked for a contractor for a few years doing SAP, and when I finally got laid off, I was in a bad situation because my 2 or 3 years of SAP experience was useless in the job market because everyone wanted 5+ years and certifications along with it. I ended up going into a hybrid IT/field work position for a small business.

>"entry level" position
>requires experience level of a senior
>for the pay of an intern

Gee, I wonder why millennials don't take these jobs?

Entitlement, and being raised on TV instead of in the real world.

ESPECIALLY in IT. I put you to work answering helpdesk tickets and fixing pebkac errors. You will not touch my servers without me watching your every move, and don't even think about asking for the domain admin password. I've had too many little shits who think they know it all come in and cause me a lot of excess work.

>What's going to happen when the boomers finally retire and there is not enough experienced people to fill those positions?
Lets not pretend boomers really excel at whatever their job is. They're just decent at delegating work to people below them and bullshitting enough to look like they're important.

Look at company downsizing and elimination of middle management; you cut the fat and its still business as usual. Boomers are old and simply don't produce much, they're wasted space in a company but still look like they're doing work.

almost all the entry level jobs i come across in the UK are like this.
2 years experience for "junior" data entry position was one example I remember.

>graduate computer science
>all positions are mid or senior positions where must have 10 experience on all stacks and frameworks

Fuck you boomer this is not remotely fucking true

Who cares. I want america to fall apart so i can start killing people.

I had to do a business dealing with a very well connected young man straight outta college. And put into upper management by family. It was very difficult to get across some points because he would just be regurgitating textbook like numbers and couldn't understand why those are not realistic.

>tfw I will never ever see a paystub like this in my life

I know it just killed On-the-job training and passed the onus onto higher education, which is a false way of thinking given the ineptness.

I wish I could go back in time to tell my 8 year old self in 1991 to avoid a career in technology no matter how flashy it looked because it would be dominated by individuals from places where they are flummoxed by indoor plubing.

Maybe next life if things go differently I'll try for a respectable career in engineering or something.

Maybe it's different in the UK but I just went on Craigslist and found over dozen entry level IT positions posted in the last week with no experience required, just knowledge.

It's never quite late to start learning a trade.

You can earn this much if you put in the effort. I don't slack off at work. If I encounter a problem I'm not familiar with I research until I find the solution. Always grow. I plan on earning ~130k within the next 3 years.

I feel you there man. I put myself 50k in the hole to go into IT and it hasn't gotten me anywhere. Meanwhile one of my old friends who spent 5 years in prison and learn to weld while inside is out now with a terrific job, no debt, and a professional skill that will literally never be going away.

Its almost like a society run by jews turns that society into jews

Attached: old.jpg (1200x1200, 134K)

What the fuck is with all the millenial threads?

Is Shareblue giving up on "incels" and going after millenials now?

Let me get this straight, you want people to move out into the boonies and get a job at the local general store for 8.50/hr and somehow make the social connections to land a good job in a part of the country that can support those jobs.

You, my boomer friend, are a Jew. How is a short order cook supposed to be hired legitimately anyway when Paco will do it for 5/hr under the table? Please, drop your proxy and show that Israel flag.

>thinking college is anything more than entry level training.

Entry level is, by its definition, an entry into an industry and requires ZERO training.
A college graduate is equivalent to someone with 2 years experience in their field, and should be treated as such.

Have you ever actually become friends with immigrants? They work the construction/landscaping jobs during the day; they clean office buildings part-time at night. They have a side gig on weekends at a shoe store or driving a delivery truck. Hell, I know two of them that have part-time jobs -- FIVE of them, and all of their employers know about the other four employers. They are so involved in their kids' lives it's unreal; judo lessons and tournaments, soccer, family time in the park on Sundays.
They may be working class, but their children are going to own and run everything.

>shows graph that basically proves that boomers are Jew nepotists
>somehow this is evidence of genx and millennial malfeasance and not boomer mismanagement

user dont think like this I got my GED when I was 30 and am half way through my Bachelors in Business Administration. Its a little bit embarrassing at the beginning. Im sure you're tired of a job that breaks your back. Go into finance and use other peoples money to become wealthy.
