Hm ... the melancholia is a bitch. My experience, it won't go away and it can get worse at times. Best to arrange yourself with it. Being successful is a good mid-term goal ... I have disregarded it too much until now as I thought I am smarter than the rest of this sick world anyway and don't need to participate too much in this shithole society ... but that has been a mistake and it has thrown me back quite a bit. Success opens doors, even if it is only the door out of this madness. Without it you are only stuck in the hamster wheel, either in a wagecuck job or on social security (unless you have the 'balls' to end it prematurely but I think that is a stupid idea). It is okay to be a bit of a chameleon, playing their little games and trying to come out on top ... as long as you do not betray your values too much. Slippery slope but manageable. Also, you WILL make mistakes, grave mistakes maybe ... understand them, learn from them but don't drag them along as emotional baggage ... ok, easier said than done.
