I've noticed (at least on this uni campus in the UK) it seems to be the richer, upper-middle class students that are attracted to it. It seems paradoxical to me, but whatever. It will never work as far as I'm concerned, and the fact that it's defended as an ideology is beyond me.

My co-worker is a skinny-ass delusional college student who identifies hinself as a commie. He wears lenin/hammer and sickle shirts all the time. I always make fun of his communist shirts and point out they were only made possible through a capitalist system.

I'm convinced young commies are doing it for hipster/contrarian points.

I've thought this, too. But I just don't understand why communism is seen as something positive? Have they not seen every communist led country suffer and ultimately fail? Do they not understand history?

There isn't a single communist that is a good person. It is a poison ideology and while I can't support killing someone just because of there believes, I'd be willing to make that exception for any breed of commie.
