Pessimistic, faithless, and short-sighted. He was smart but only focused on problems not solutions. Said video has been "misplaced" by the FBI.
All in all it was a pretty successful operation, the public perception of militias and patriot movements is that of "gun nuts" unreasonably scared of the government, living in the woods and attempting to incite revolution with terrorist attacks.

I agree fren, he wasn’t even remotely charismatic, not effective at all in communicating his ideas. But at its core, his manifesto has some very interesting concepts. The feds were horrified at the thought of his message being spread, they were very reluctant to release the transcript.
