Ok, so if the central issue is Death, of course it's different. Death means "big fuckin' change." So something is definitely going down- this could be in reference to
"Well it wasn't erupting and now it is" (which is a big change), or it could be
"Well it was erupting and now tsunami-chan."
The hidden aspect is about potential. There's a lot of power concentrated in this area at the moment, and it has the potential to erupt. The thing about the strength card is that it refers more to the battle of self-control against powerful natural urges, so I'd take this to just re-affirm that we're in a precarious situation that's definitely in flux. The difference is that there's a really powerful extreme that it could go to, so it's either going to be nothing or a whole lot of something.
The catalyst in this case is the high priestess, which works in the happening-watchers' favor. The "outcome" is undetermined, but there's a "hook" available for magical/chaotic influence. Think... butterfly effect. This configuration, with the Strength card showing that things are balanced on a knife edge, the random outcome, and the chaotic catalyst, suggests that not only is the outcome anyone's guess, but that the absolute _smallest_ thing could make a huge difference.
Be on the lookout for weird occurrences near the area /entirely unrelated/ to the volcano. I.e. "a bus crashed after hitting a toucan (or whatever fuckin birbs they have there)." When the weird thing happens, that's the omen for either the BIG HAPPENING or for everything to calm down.
