Easily the most rage-inducing thing I hear lefties say. It has no substance at all. Except I thought about it, and maybe it does, but not in the way they're thinking (actually I don't think they're thinking at all since every time I've heard this its at the end of the argument, or when they've run out of arguments and you come to "well let's agree to disagree")
Anyway, you will very rarely convince a leftist of rightist points and the rightist of the leftists points. The reasoning for this is both sides axiomatic approaches are literal opposites. This is why your thinking is "backward" to them, it is because you approach the problem and provide a solution from an axiomatically opposite place to them. One very prime example are the axiomatic bases of equality and hierarchy/meritocracy. I have come to the conclusion if you wish to actually change someone's mind facts and statistics really won't do the job, because to them it is how you approach the problem that bothers them. You first have to understand their mindsets, entertain their ideas. Then argue to them from their comfortable range of ideas, use this to show fallacies and problems with the thinking. This paves the way, you can start to show facts and statistics once the way is paved.

No need for a wall of text. Leftists believe people to be born equal and rightists don't. Leftists justify societal inequality (because they think people are equal) with the saying that the weaker specimens are oppressed, rather than blame niggers for their niggerish behavior.
Ironic for the party that believes in natural selection (aka survival of the fittest aka survival of the superior) to believe humans to be exempt from this, even when there is copious evidence showing that the races are not equal (i.e. nigger "civilizations" today vs. European civilizations.

That is another thing that frustrates me about leftists. When creationism was actually somewhat relevant the smug liberals were constantly calling them ignorant for not believing something so manifest.
