This is ignorant on numerous levels. Here's a quick example of one such level: "school shooting" does not have a universally accepted definition. In the US, we count everything that happens on a school campus, even if the more precise location is at the dorms of a university. Then you consider that we also count everything that happens actually on the school property, regardless of students being in class (ie: 9pm in Georgia where a drug dealer shoots a client - neither of which are students). Yep, that's counted too. This specific list goes on and on.
Agreed, school shootings shouldn't depict whether people living in a country are "more violent than the rest of the world." There are many more factors...

The main ignorance is the forced correlation/causation fallacy of guns and these crimes. Countries with less gun ownership have much higher shoot rates than USA.

Fact of the matter is, it's not a ''gun'' issue. It's a cultural issue. USA is degrading and the reason is, ironically, all those who think guns are an issue; and they probably do it intentionally.

I'd add that it creates a feedback loop -- the rotters create a controlling world of hate filled nihilism and when vulnerable children lash out against it in the most horrible way it just confirms their need for even deeper control.
