He's just your average Joe. Notable dishonest intellect, likely was gabby-mouthed before his career started, but his several decade long stint in broadcast communications has resulted in this evasive meandering style, of mulling over random topics with near-strangers, etc; he obviously wants to appear as though he can talk about anything to anyone, and appear to have a "fruitful" discussion on top of it, when he doesn't really know anything definite about anything he talks about or anyone he's talking to. Kinda the depressing nature of his job. People call him blue-pilled because he always resets his mode of engagement for each show; it's because he temporarily 'wipes' his mental-slate clean for each guest, brown-nosing them to probe for topics he can obliquely weigh-in on later, he plays on the interest of the viewer and relies on wandering attention span to look cool or something at the end. He could die tomorrow and no one in the world would be truly negatively impacted by it, not anymore than any other random fuck dying anyway. He is an interesting mix of entertaining and existentially worrying, kinda like Alex Jones in a weird way. You laugh when he gets brought up but then you kinda worry about how he's doing. Then you find out he's still doing his show and you're like "ah that sorry fuck is doing just fine", and you forget about him again.

That's the problem with all these almost-daily shows. They have too many hours to fill, so they invite on guests who have nothing worthwhile to say, and the host doesn't have the time to learn what he needs to make it a good conversation. Plus half Joe's guests are just comedians shilling for whatever their own podcast is where they do the same shit he does.

I pretty much only listen to informational stuff. Interesting Things Explained Well and sometimes Stuff You Should Know, and I used to listen to 99PI before their foisting of lefty ideology into their narratives became unbearable.

Thing is he'll use people for however long they're useful, and then he'll discard them if they don't pander to his interests. He's very much like a kid throwing his toys out the pram. Most of the time, if the guest is boring, he'll ramble about his own life or the CCTV state as if nobody is listening or cares. Likely, he can afford to lose a small portion of his audience and it doesn't put a massive dent in his income.
