I'm 100% in favor of Valve banning smut VNs from steam, along with regular VNs, and any other non-game games that have wormed their way in.

I buy almost nothing off Steam because quality games are so few and far between and I don't have the time to play a billion mediocre half-baked indie tittles. That said letting people charge money for said half-baked indie tittle under the pretense that at some point in the future they will be finished with no actual guarantee that will happen is at best a scummy practice to facilitate as is letting people post whatever garbage they can cook up in RPGmaker because it technically qualifies as "a game." Steam being a monopoly should be a curated platform that you can at least be sure isn't full of blatant scams, but instead it's the craigslist of digital distribution and there's no legitimate alternative.
