Oh by the way, assuming these maps are meant to be if you love/hate the actual country/culture and not just its geopolitics. Otherwise my map would like different. I have love on Iraq because I like iraqis and I'm fascinated by ancient Sumeria, same with Iran and the Persian people. I love the US but my opinions on its foreign policy would be different.

It's the comfy border to the midwest. Hundreds of miles full of corn fields, small towns, really nice people. Central Illinois especially is a magical place. And if anything it's better than fucking Iowa

they're trying to postpone it for as long as possible to keep getting gibs from Denmark. Some time ago the Danish PM tried to push them towards a final decision since the Greenlanders threaten a lot about leaving whenever Denmark does anything that doesn't please them.
They're currently trying to become a sovereign state by 2021 afaik, since it will be the 300 anniversary of Danish rule.

why do you love most of the US?

Vermont used to be great. Close-knit, white communities with family roots going back several generations. Then the flatlanders started invading in the 70s, rich urban liberals who came for the skiing and never left. They infected our politics, and they're now actively destroying the independent spirit that made Vermont special in the first place. It's a disgusting process to witness.

I don't presume to know the proportion of them in the general population, but I'd say in statewide politics the ratio would be 60/40 non-natives to natives. This was reflected recently in the passing of a slew of new anti-gun laws, which were opposed by the vast majority of "real" Vermonters. Traditionally we were one of the most gun-friendly (and safest) states in the country, but our imports from NYC and Boston don't understand this aspect of our culture
