Godtards - how many of you privately know that your favourite god is fictitious, but you're too proud/frightened/ashamed/humiliated to acknowledge the fact openly?
Confession time
>not understanding tradition
>not answering the question
This is a bad question and you should feel bad.
>dodging questions for jesus
I don't believe in god, but even I understand that it's some people's traditions that mean a lot to them.
Not believing in God but going on a crusade to convince/challenge others of the absence of God is the ultimate narcissism, kys
Repent heathen, and accept the god of your forefathers, before you experience hellfire
>telling lies for jesus
Being forced to subsidise the scamming liars in the religion business is more than a good enough reason to convince others that their god is fake. Narcissism is not required.
Went from convinced atheist to Catholic. Fire away, but you have to answer my questions, too.
>dodging questions for jesus, volume 2
Also, surely you can reasonably infer that I had heard of hell before you mentioned it, right? And if I were sufficiently stupid and cowardly to be threatened into faith by the idea of hell, I would already be a religiotard. Like you. But you weren't able to join these very obvious dots. Why am I not surprised?
>dodging questions for jesus, volume 3
I'd say about 50-100 of us privately think that our favorite God is fictitious. Not me, though. I am certain our God is very real.
All the gods of the gentiles are devils
Finally, an answer. Thank you. Now, which god are you certain is real?
You're that same fedora tipping aussie from last night, aren't ya'?
No doubt true, but not relevant and doesn't answer the question.
>aussie
bait, sage in all fields
Not sure. I hang shit on religion a lot, but I was on the turps last night and can't remember if I was at it or not. Also, pressing the "hat" button confirms your tardhood.
>got nothing
>buttshattered godtard
I think we can presume this user knows his god is fake, but hasn't worked up the courage to come out of the closet yet.
/ourgod/, the Abrahamic God of the Jewish and Christian faith. Straight outta bible etc.
>not understanding your tradition has been subverted and is jewish garbage to start with
How did you decide that that particular god is the right one, and not one of the thousands of others?
Reminder that these are the edge lords posting the fedora memes lmao
>edge lords
>fedora
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I'll be honest, I'd like to believe in God, but tinnitus is making it a bitch to have faith. What kind of asshole would allow the human brain to experience an incessant feedback of phantom white noise? Fucking Christ. This kind of shit should be patched out on the release date.
>i've been outed
>i know! i'll double down
k
Which god would you like to believe in?
So you really thought that pointing to my flag was a valid argument?
>If a ton of people are wrong then no one is right.
If I wrote down a number and it was 117, and a bunch of people tried to tell everyone I wrote down "117", it wouldn't make it untrue and it wouldn't make the billions of liars write that I wrote down something else. What a retarded godless theory.
so why cant your god accept another god exist and has the same power as him if hes compassionate and loves everybody, why is your god racist. also why havent I seen both gods at the same time, are they the same person? feels like theyre playing us all along
Everyone else is the liar! It just so happens that the religion your parents told you to believe when you just a little kid is the real truth!
If you're being honest, then you're retarded and not worth anyone's time.
If you're baiting, then you're not worth anyone's time.
Either way 1/10 for making me respond m80, i'm off to do something productive.
on another note why does it feel like gods put us on earth just to fight for their amusement and have factions/ religions, this feels like a sick joke the more I think about it
pols attempts at being edgy by turning into christfags is one of the cringiest things I've ever seen.
honestly if atheist became less cringey they would go right back to larping as that.
Reminder to sage thread btw.
>It just so happens that the religion your parents told you to believe when you just a little kid is the real truth!
It's pretty amazing that godtards can't get their head around this very, very, very obvious point. That had they been born in a different country, or in a different era, they would have been indoctrinated into a different religion with a different god, and they would be just as convinced that their different god was the one true god.
>dodging questions for jesus, volume 4
And another godtard ass goes full Krakatoa.
I believe in the one true God. Either bend the knee to our savior, Poseidon, or suffer eternal damnation. Or something.
>dodging questions for jesus, volume 5
God is not impressed.
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good."
Repent or burn.
>The universe came from nothing one day
>randomly.
>From nothing.
What a complex and nuanced opinion you have there OP.
"Oh but silly user, it exploded, randomly, from a massive mass of energy."
Who put that energy there then, why was it there? Why did it explode? Why didn't it explode later, or sooner?
See >172267120
Actually I'm okay with knowing that there probably is something (or might not be) but whatever it might or might not be I'd never be able to understand or actually meet and greet it.
I still don't understand how people can live without going crazy when nobody knows if all of this is even real or not.
If even the fool can get it, then what’s taking you dipshits so long?
>Repent or burn.
pol circa 2018 is truly a fucking joke.
Chances are that it did, has and will though.
Its a circle.
Time is a property of the universe. There is no "before".
Is that from a Johnny cash
>2018
>still conceptualizing god as a bearded sky man to make it seem silly
>Who put that energy there then, why was it there?
Why the word "who"? Look at all of the explicable natural phenomena in the world and in the cosmos. None of it is attributable to a "who". Why ask "who?" WRT inexplicable phenomena?
>Why did it explode?
Scientists will humbly and honestly acknowledge that they don't know. The scammers in the religion business will make shit up.
And finally, which god did it?
my sides
Are you replying to someone or talking to yourself?
you're a brainlet if you don't understand that.
Alright if not who than how? Eventually you'll reach a point where its either a loop that by sheer magic has always existed or you'll meet something along the lines of a creator.
Now who made the creator on the other hand is a whole other story but we could do that ad infinitum.
>There was no 'before' before the singularity.
Wasnt there, though?
oh sorry you're farther up your own ass than I thought
whatever you say swisscuck
>your favourite god is fictitious
Can you verify that?
No. Time is linked to space in such a manner that they cannot exist without each other.
>Alright if not who than how? Eventually you'll reach a point where its either a loop that by sheer magic has always existed or you'll meet something along the lines of a creator.
Or you humbly and honestly admit that you don't yet know.
>Now who made the creator on the other hand is a whole other story but we could do that ad infinitum.
Which creator?
"What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence".
What you qualify as evidence is arbitrary and faith-based, given you're making a brute faith commitment to the validity of your sensory experience when you use any and all inductive reasoning.
I verify it in the same way that you, and I, reasonably and logically infer that every fictional character in every fiction book (including the bible) is fictitious. The same way that you know that Santa is fictitious.
>dodging questions for jesus, volume 6
From a non-bias point of view, the Christian God arguably has the greatest chance of being correct
I already did desu and I'm fine with that, my puny mind cannot handle something that size although I'd give it a college try if there was so much as a hint that I could.
>which creator.
Any, at this point, the argument still stands; if you're going down the rabbithole to find out who created who or what created what, you'll never stop unless something has 'always been there' which is something you're forced to deny given thats how the magical journey started in the first place.
See
There is more to religon than the faith
no sense of irony either I see
How so?
You got btfod and are trying to save face.
> favourite god is fictitious
An untrue statement said by a person that never reads the bible ether won't/ too ignorant/ too stupid / Too much of a sinner / or fearful anons own self by pretending to be smart.
You're only mad because you're going to hell athiest.
You need god user believing in nothing will only send you to hell.
Your pic is based though.
God is awesome.
That doesn't work. You're dismissing things based on faith-based commitments to the validity of your sensory experiences. You have no reason whatsoever to trust that your senses relay accurate or truthful information to you that you can justify without recourse to feels or circular reasoning.
>Logic.
Do you think you have a firm grasp of what the nature of reality is? I don't. How could I possibly have the balls to claim that something doesnt exist on the mere base that it seems logical for it to not exist?
Surely you can see how that doesnt work out, because if you'd ask a child the same question he'd be convinced that santa is real.
>my god is best god
Said no non autistic religious person ever. Stick to watching rick n morty, you autistic cunt
"santa is totally real guise!!"
>feels
The one that'll make my ears stop ringing and buzzing.
actually a lot of religiontards want to kill people who don't believe in their sky fairy
I can verify that all gods are fictitious
can you pretend otherwise? yes
can you provide proof of your god? NO
t. still waiting for ONE EXAMPLE from praceteom but not holding my breath
just one example of, say, an absolute moral value or objective moral value
gtfo you lying sack of shit
ive already seen your lack of proof
And the Official Thread Retard emerges.
>I can verify that all gods are fictitious
please do this
>Godtards - how many of you privately know that your favourite god is fictitious
They're all real, that's why they like it when you choose them over the others. For Christfags it's even in their first commandment.
>Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Atheism irrefutably blown the fuck out.
>God came from nothing
>sits around for literally eternity and all of a sudden randomly decides to create our universe
>religitards actually believe this
>he actually think he made an argument
really crammed in there into the transverse colon I'd wager
didin't realize they had internet in gloriavale.
see
>expecting anything from religious people in this thread but "LE EDGY FADORA CAME FROM NOTHING PASCAL'S WAGER!!!"
Silly OP.
>I can verify
Go on..
God is the abstraction all humans make when confronted with the conflict of a particular part of their psychology and the world beyond them.
Men who have no concept of God are not men at all but children.
Someone carve this post in stone
t.
A. Fucking. Leaf.
People will murder other people for petty reasons, 99.9% of the time it has nothing to do with religious conflict. Mlady yourself back to plebbit autist
t. Buttmad athiest
Which god?
>99.9% of the time it has nothing to do with religious conflict
Wrong.
Compare my baiting friend. First tho, the "thousands" of God's is a bit misleading, as some Faith's, Hindu comes to mind, have hundreds of gods alone.
Let's instead compare religious groups, with small differences overlooked, ie grouping Protestants and Catholics and whatnot as Christians, various Native American Faith's together, etc.
In the last 2,000 years of recorded history, with arguably only the last 3000 years meaningful, Christianity has been present, with it starting with Jesus beginning to preach telling Jews they fucked up and a new pact was coming about. Since this man 2,000 years ago walked and taught, more advances, feats, achievements, and divine events relating to Christian figures have happened then all other Faith's combined. Christian men advanced the world, achieving the unthinkable; hell, good Christian men did what man had dreamed of since Christ and landed on the moon nearly 50 years ago. Miracles, visions, and acts of God have been reported and documented by the Catholic Church.
Maybe shouldn't be phone posting for this but long story short compare Christianity to other religions and Christians have more evidence for their faith then all the others do together
