The lava flow from Fissure 18 is stalled. It is unknown whether the flows will continue to advance, or stop, and new lava flows are likely given the rate of activity seen at the rift zone. Volcanic gas emissions remain very high.

Thanks. So far so good. Seismic is trending again. I don’t like the fact that the fissures are poring lava again but that does indicate the piston effect mentioned a few times which helps with general instability. Can’t really predict a volcano so all any of us state should be taken with a grain of salt.

Yeah, geologistfag,the 4.9 is the strongest we have had in a few days now. I would like to see a continued trend of 4+ for a while. There was one decent hit of 6.9. For there to be any action on the slump it would need to be stronger and deeper. The slump won’t cause anything more than localized tsunamis unfortunately but it could do a decent hub fucking up the island for a bit.

I think lava would almost always be the least of your worries in an eruption.

Lava volume looks like its increasing, the outflow stream is getting higher and the fountains are throwing more lava out over the rocks
