Hey lads, I would like to discuss why our use of language has reached nigger levels in the past few decades.
Reading literature, newspapers, advertisements, and even letters between common peoples from anytime before the 1950s has made me realize just how far the English language has fallen.
I would assume the vocabulary of the typical normie is no more than about three hundred words. Why is this and what can we do to fix it? Inb4 this isn't political. I feel that it is relevant to the culture war currently being waged.
There is people out there who's dominance of the english language it's vast and astonishing and I assume you just don't use your time among them, be rather for the unfortunate of your uprising or because you just don't care that much.

i once read a letter sent by my great-great-grandfather who was nothing but a farmer with probably 8 years of education at most yet he somehow had a far more eloquent prose than my own. really spooked me. in school we had "english" class every year but i don't recall them ever actually teaching us how to write well.

There are some philosophical treatises from the last century and this one that have some depth (though they misdirect through their abstraction). Otherwise, yeah it should be clear that stuff from the 19th and 18th century, but especially the former, have a much more elaborate verbiage. Even early 20th century stuff was still inventing new words and creating rythmic prose at times... but yeah, the stuff put out now is all at a third grader level. Some programs in Europe indulge a person's intelligence slightly more, but it's all tragically stupefied. Anime if proof of this, or Japanese songwriting. Their lyrics are nothing like the west puts out.

I work for the gubbermint (legal field) and recently they had a "how 2 rite gud" class and I shit you not their advice is to write at a 5th grade level because the public is too stupid to understand anything beyond. Using "complex" vocabulary even when appropriate is portrayed as "Bad writing" because the proles won't understand it. There is also a push to expunge latin words from legal terminology because the public doesn't understand it and it's therefore considered a barrier of entry against access to justice. Frankly the majority of the public doesn't deserve access to justice or access to anything at all. For all the whining that is done about deportation of immigrants I wish we could deport citizens as well.

There was a graph displaying the reading age required for each presidential speech for the last 100 or so years, with a consistent decline. They used to appeal to the intellectual, but over time chose mass appeal, to the clinically retarded as a baseline.
